My condolences to the loved ones of these men. Today must be a shocking and horrible time.

The chief mentioned objects. Are they barrels. I'm super flummoxed. IMO.
It sounds like the bodies are partially visible, so I have a feeling not barrels. But I wonder if they’re weighted down?
This is sounding like the mafia…. I wonder if any of them was in witness protection? I suppose in that case the FBI would be involved, but….

LE, when asked in the interview quoted previously, said the bodies are in the water and will be for some time'. They also said there were body parts sticking up above water, but they can't see below the water to know what else is there. They don't seem to be in a rush to get the bodies out before they document the scene and each body, but isn't it a river? Wouldn't they be worried the bodies will move, wouldn't there be currents? Could the bodies be anchored? They did say the Violent Crime Task Force is on the scene.

Like much of the country, we've been in a heat wave. Waterways are currently very low or dry. My guess is they went into the river where they were found, otherwise I doubt all 4 would still be found together unless somehow tied together.

Per ^^^^ , they were able to expedite the recovery. Four bodies now at ME in Tulsa.

Is this the bridge mentioned in the PC? It's roughly 4.3 miles from W 6th Street (last seen).

Here's a street view I took from Google maps looking at the river. No wonder LE couldn't tell just by looking.... MOO.

KFOR-TV #UPDATE ON THE MISSING MEN IN #OKMULGEE
Officials say human remains have been found as they searched for the four missing men on Friday.
However, it is not known if those remains are those of the missing men.

The discovery was made before 2p.m. Friday afternoon in a river that goes over Sharp Road, southwest of Okmulgee; a passerby told investigators they noticed something “suspicious” protruding out of the water and called the police.

While it is not yet known if the remains found were that of the missing men, Chief Prentice said the decision to inform the families of the men before the remains were positively identified was out of respect.

“We have more questions than answers," he said.

In the video above - the reporter says "a passerby told investigators they noticed something “suspicious” protruding out of the water and called the police. *It* turned out to be body parts, bobbing out of the water".

Further the Chief says, "There are multiple objects in the water that appear to be human remains".

Were these men dismembered and placed in the water?

Not sure if it has been noted, but if they originally left on October 11th at 8 PM it would have already been dark. Sunset would have been at least one hour prior. Guess they could have been on bicycles though.

Just bizarre. My condolences to the families.

Four grown men don’t just fall into a river and drown. Four grown men also don’t get jumped for their bikes, if these were normal nothing special sort of bikes.

I’m wondering if they stumbled upon something at the salvage yard they weren’t supposed to see? And then were either out numbered or outgunned?

Or, could they have been at the river and as sadly sometimes happens one fell in/waded in and lost his balance and the next went to help and so forth and both the original victim and the rescuers lost their lives? But that wouldn’t as easily explain them being fairy close together and from pictures river seems pretty slow not rushing like is often the case with victim/rescuer drownings.

But man, for someone(s) to get the best of four big grown men something went dreadfully wrong.

Oh no. All four in the river adjacent to the bridge? No car. Violent Crime Task Force was/is at the scene.

Strange the clown/skeleton faces.

Oh my word. It doesn't look that deep either. Now I think I understand when he said sticking up out of the water.

If the bodies were dropped from a bridge into a river with a thick and muddy bottom, I can see from a great height how there would be parts sticking up out of the water.

I’m going for: they were set up. Maybe one was set up, the others feared for his safety, so they went to protect him.
I also think perhaps one was in witness protection. This is total speculation on my part. But it would explain how a hit would make sense.

I'm wondering if they listen to Insane Clown Posse and are Juggalos?

I agree that they didn't just all 4 'fall' into the river and drown.

And the water looks pretty shallow so I don't think one fell in and the other's died trying to rescue. They look like fit young men who would have no problem in such slow, shallow waters with big long shoreline, which would prevent someone from 'falling in' from the river bank.

It seems like obvious foul play, imo. I think their bodies were dumped there. But it is so hards to imagine how anyone got the jump on four strong, healthy young men, who were traveling in a close group.

What's the chances that these guys were in some gang? If you look at their social media, theses three all weird masks on in some of their photos.
