Dismemberment doesn’t require power tools.
A battery operated reciprocating saw would cut through flesh and bone easy enough and is relatively quiet. Easier than cutting with a sharp implement of some kind with far less effort.

Maybe it was a statement.

I seem to remember a woodchipper was used in some movie or something I saw. Was it Fargo ?
Yep, "Fargo"

And the method used would probably be fairly easy to determine by the ME, and quite likely not revealed publicly for some time.

So after watching the press conference i’m coming to the opinion that the person responsible either stumbled onto these men unexpectedly and shot them or had previously been robbed and waited for them. IMO it’s the 1st. He then realized oh my god and dismembered & disposed of them in fear of repercussions. Best idea? No. Possible? 100%. That’s why he ran, sheriff said he’s not likely a danger to anyone else but may be suicidal. That doesn’t seem like the cold blooded type

Maybe #5 tipped the killer off since he knew what his friends were planning.
Maybe he once had some type of friendship at some point and never thought all of this would happen.

True ,but then you have to transport these for guys who are at least 150 lbs each, your talking min weights of 600 pounds. Really it is probably a few hundred pounds more than that. This is work ,and for it to be spur of the moment ,there has to be ,evidence everywhere.

Oklahoma has a "Make My Day" law ( Physical or Deadly Force Against Intruder ) which should have protected Kennedy from that 2013 assault conviction unless he was engaged in unlawful activity or using his place of business to further illegal activity, which are explicitly excepted.

This is a salvage yard, I'm sure the guy has a forklift. Plasma cutter, too. No mess, just stink. Not that the sounds of equipment would be suspicious either - or even that corpses can't be butchered with a knife and cleaver. Four at once would be a workout though.

So they were murdered for going into a salvage yard really? What a stupid reason to kill people.

This guy has a history of unlawful violence toward people who mess with his salvage yard and being engaged in sketchy activity. I think this will come to a predictable end.

Unfortunately, that's very true. Plenty of cartel videos floating around, and the experienced sicarios do it with ease.

I do tend to think this guy used some sort of electric saw though, as not everyone has that knowledge.

Doubtful. They were after a lick, which wouldnt apply to the theft of car parts from a salvage yard. After dark salavage yard thefts are just normal everyday tiny licks. Unless they were trying to steal an engine from a hell cat or something..HOWEVER ,this is Oklahoma and Meth- addicts dont act or think normal..The scrap yard would be a better lick, because they have to have cash to operate, everything in the yard has value. Did Kennady smelt his own metals and put them in safes?

I think it is possible that the 4 victims believed JK had millions of dollars worth of Catalytic converters and precious metals in his salvage yard. They may have known he was buying them and had them stored on his land.

So instead of going to him to sell stolen ones, like they may have told JK, they were instead going to steal his cash and his stash of stolen loot?

Here are examples of salvage yards that have been busted for having these stolen metals:

by Marissa Heffernan
Cat converters recovered by Fremont Police.

Spick, the owner of J&J Recycling in Independence, is charged with one count of conspiracy to transport stolen property across state lines since Jan. 1, 2018, and 25 counts of transporting stolen property across state lines.

In his salvage business, Spick primarily buys and resells catalytic converters rather than other automotive parts or recyclable items. Catalytic converters convert toxic gases and pollutants from internal combustion engines into less-toxic pollutants. Catalytic converters contain precious metals such as platinum, rhodium, and palladium. Stolen catalytic converters have value because of the precious metals, which can be extracted from the converters.

Beginning in at least 2014, Spick bought catalytic converters at his business from individuals whom he paid in cash. The cash payments attracted thieves, the indictment says, particularly drug addicts. Spick resold the catalytic converters to companies in Missouri, Texas, and Louisiana. The Texas and Louisiana companies processed the catalytic converters to extract the precious metals.

Over four years from Jan. 1, 2018, through Dec. 31, 2021, the indictment says, Spick received over $11 million from the sale of catalytic converters.

According to the indictment, Spick withdrew almost $2.5 million in cash from his bank accounts to buy catalytic converters from 2018 to 2021
.

Arrow Recovery is under investigation by local police for buying large quantities of black market catalytic converters, despite some having “stolen” etched onto them by undercover officers.

Arrow Recovery was served a search warrant in June 2022, and detectives found “multiple 55-gallon drums of refined and semi-refined catalytic converter material, along with approximately eight pallets containing at least 300 suspected stolen catalytic converters,” police said.

In total, Dawkins unlawfully purchased and sold approximately 10,000 – 14,000 or 59,000 pounds of catalytic converters in the last 18 months and reported less than 15 purchased or sold....records show a net of approximately $2,400,000.00 in sales. Along with the shifty records, detectives seized approximately 350 catalytic converters worth over $250,000.00 from a shipment sent by Dawkins the day prior to the service of the warrant.

IMHAspieO I think that it’s worth noting that there have been other cases where LEO have said something similar/along the lines of what the sheriff has said in this case regarding JK, and yet haven’t been the truth. Or at the very least only somewhat truthful.
(For example in the 2017 murders of Abby and Libby, in Delphi, IN, the Indiana LEO said that in reference to the POI (Bridge Guy) “there was no immediate danger to the community.”. However nearly immediately they knew that there was an online pedophile predator, who lived on 40 minutes from Delphi, and who also was the last person to speak to Libby on the day of her murder.
For nearly 3 and 1/2 years LE didn’t arrest him. And because of this he continued to prey on and solicit pornographic photos from other young girls. Not to mention that he continued to share them online with other pedophiles.
However we, the public, had no knowledge of this for nearly 5 years.
So essentially what I’m trying to convey is that sometimes LEO don’t tell the entire truth for the sake of their investigation. But also sometimes this approach can cause trauma for future victims.
IMHO all of this could have been avoided had LE been forthright about a local online pedophile/predator from the get (the beginning).
Of course I am not saying that’s what has happened here with their investigation with JK on the loose. But as you pointed out (all) possibilities are possible, 100%.
Hopefully this isn’t the case with JK and for the people of KC and surrounding areas.

A Delphi article about what I referenced to above:
On February 15, Indiana State Police Sgt. Kim Riley provided an update advising parents to keep a close eye on their children, despite a conflicting statement by the Carroll County Sheriff's Department that there was no immediate danger to the community

Junkyard dogs are a real thing, just saying ...

There really is no reason to go to all the effort. Then dump them in a place they will easily be found. It makes no sense?

I'm thinking maybe he knew they were coming, and laid in wait like a sniper?. It says they were killed on property outside of the scrapyard, it doesn't feel to me that he happened upon then trying to steal from him.
My theory is he shot them, cut them up and dumped to aid in a misdirection, like cartels and drug wars, and not "Crazy Joe" from the scrap yard.
I'm guessing he thought no one knew where they were headed, and he disposed of their phones so he figured no-one would connect them to him. He possibly knew about phone pings, but that would be a more general area, he had nonway to know about the life360 app on MC's phone. He probably thought he was committing the perfect murder, especially if he is telling the truth about them not being known to eachother.
JMO though.

WHAT??? Did I miss something??? IS THIS WHAT OCCURRED!!! I thought this was bizarre the way it played out right from the beginning!!!! I have to catch up again. I hope this isn't what happened to these guys!!!

I agree is it really one guy who did this, Kennedy? The article says Prentice stated that Kennedy didn't know the men. Secondly, is what the guy says that they were going to do criminal activity correct? Then how do the oddly placed pings factor.
