Oh geez. I wonder how many people were actually present or took part in the crime and how many have knowledge of it or helped with evidence?
BTW, I'm getting a kick out of reading the comments on the FBpage.

Investigators said much of the evidence points to James Conn Knipp. He was the last person seen with Miller and Haynes... Now investigators said Sabrina Fincher, the owner of the car Conn Knipp was driving, has also been named as a person-of-interest.

Investigators are also asking for your help in connection with a 9 mm automatic that was collected as evidence, and was reportedly in Conn Knipp's possession. Investigators want to know if anyone saw Conn Knipp, or another man named Colby Barrick with the gun.

Finally, this case seems to be moving forward!

Boy, that gun looks beat up! Looks rusted. I'm assuming the red rag was the rag with the stains on it that was mentioned a while back. I think the stains could be rust, but I don't know. It does make me wonder if the gun appeared this way before it was allegedly used it in this case. IMO, this gun was either exposed to high humidity, rain moisture, or maybe it was left outdoors somewhere. Unless, it was completely neglected for a long time. The condition of the gun could have been caused by laziness.

Anything new going on?

Con's been transferred to the Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy. I have no familiarity with any of our Oklahoma penal institutions and couldn't say if he's going to have it easy or rough at that place, but some quick googling landed me here:

Not too easy, it sounds like. :)

Won't be too easy for his family to visit either. Hominy is over 200 miles north of Love County. It'll be a day trip, not a quick jaunt.

I'm not familiar with that one either. Glad to get him away from his friends and family. I fear he has too many friends and "insiders" locked up with him.

Sooo... apparently the PI was trying to get access to tapes of conversations between Con and Sabrina while he was locked up in Love County. Sheriff Joe said no, ain't lettin' you have 'em, and the DA said no, he doesn't have to let you have 'em.

Molly's cousin PMF wrote about it here:

The PI tried an end run around the local yokels and got shot down by the state attorney general's office as well. Click the Preview button at the end of PMF's post to read the snarktastic letter Klein wrote in response.

I definitely applaud this PI for his hard work on this case, but I would never think a PI would have legal means to obtain evidence of that nature so this doesn't really come as a surprise. Unless there's some law I don't know about that makes recorded jail conversations available to the public under the FOIA?

Couldn't LE listen to the tapes and use the tapes against CN? Why would they need the PI in this situation? Isn't that why prison phone calls are taped?

They may have been watching Colby to see if they could get him on something, so they can bring him in. I'm pretty sure they'll bring up Molly and Colt when they talk to him.

Maybe this way he'll feel safe talking. I thought I'd read that he seemed to want to cooperate but was fearful

The thoughts & opinions stated above are that, MY random thoughts & opinions.

"We suspect, strongly suspect that foul play has been involved with Molly and Colt's disappearance," said Ladd. "It's the only thing that makes sense to me. But in regards to having sufficient evidence to prove someone's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, we're just not close unfortunately at this time."

Feeling frustrated, Miller's family hired a private investigator. Bold claims of witnesses, weapons, and substances that look like blood have fueled speculation, but have never been proven. "It's my understanding those leads have been followed up on," said Ladd. "I don't think those have turned out to be fruitful leads."

"Right now we are not in the stages of looking at possible murder weapons," added Brown. "We don't know for certain if we have a murder on our hands."
