CLPD said the location where the sets of remains were found had not previously been searched, and that prior search areas were identified based on the information, evidence and leads available to investigators at the time.

However, as new details emerged in the investigation and landowner assistance was obtained, the search parameters were expanded, leading to this week’s new search operation.

Wow, this is such surprising news!

I was just re-watching a YouTube video about their disappearance earlier this week. They’ve been on my mind a lot recently, and I started to look back into it again, only to discover this news. What a strange coincidence.

I hope they are found. Given the location of the remains, I can’t think of anyone else who would fit the bill.

I hope the families finally get their closure.

Colt & Molly FOUND?!!!! - Were they found on the Nipp Family farm? IMO either someone talked or is it because the farm was recently(?) sold and the new owner allowed the search? How sad that the corruption and influence of the Sheriff, at the very least, made their families live in agony not knowing what happened and/or being able to lay them to rest and get justice for them. It also allowed the killer(s) to remain free, harming others and/or putting others at risk of harm.

At the worst, perhaps if the corruption/influence didn’t exist, maybe a search warrant could have been immediately issued or LE would have been to access the proper immediately under the belief that someone was in imminent danger. If so, maybe Colt and/or Molly may have still been alive or, if they were already dead, LE may have been able obtain forensic evidence that could have resulted in the prosecution of those involved.


(Sounds like it was a result of the new owner! I wonder if the new owner bought the property so they would be able to authorize the search?)

I hope this is them and there’s enough evidence of what happened to them. Does anybody know if this was the land that belonged to a relative of Nipp’s that would not allow them to search there?

It did belong to relative, new owner allowed search.

This week, search teams conducted an operation in Love County between Oswalt Road, Pike Road, and Long Hollow Road, which had not been previously searched.

Teams conducted searches on Feb. 18 in a previously unsearched location near Oswalt Road, Pike Road and Long Hollow Road. Police dogs, a Verizon truck and two charter buses joined the search, which reportedly included radar imaging equipment and drones.

During the search, two sets of human remains were discovered.

oh my ....how I hope and pray it is Molly and Colt. Time puts things into perspective.....when Molly and Colt went missing my daughter was just 5 months old and recently she just turned 13....that is how long I've been thinking about Molly and Colt and their families....Please let them be found and justice prevail.

I wonder how long both were alive since they made phone calls

Both phones went dead within a half hour of each other in the morning around 9:30 am and 9:56 am. Colt told friends he was coughing up blood, had a broken ankle (or leg? Different sources say different things) and was laying in a creek bed.

This was July 8 of 2013 in Oklahoma. I don't know if you know the weather here, but it's unbearably hot and humid during July/Aug, usually gets over 100 degrees. I feel terrible just thinking about them spending their last days dehydrating and dying from sun and no water. What a slow, horrible way to go - I have a bad feeling this is what we're going to learn. No foul play, just slow suffering from the elements.
