GUILTY OK - Patrick Misner for raping 4yo girl, Sapulpa, 2012

  • #421
I really really want justice for this poor sweet little girl. But I feel so wishy washy right now about the case/

From the start, it was hard to imagine that the stepfather could do all of this, kill the family dog, brutally rape his girl that he raised as his own, in the early morning hours, with the wife at home. The only other possibility is he did it after she left for work in the am. Again, does that make sense? He would not be drunk or high, and it would be done so quickly like that? He knows the child would tell LE it was her stepfather, so why would he leave her alive?

There are so many things that just seem so off about this case, imo.

If Tommy is seeking a continuance because he wants the DNA tests back first, to me it sounds like he is very sure his DNA was not a match.

How very odd... he was apparently moved to a different facility.
Then... is appears he may have bonded out or at least has the choice to?
Then again... they don't spell check... so who knows.

07/10/2012 PERSONAL RECOGNIZANCE BOND - $250,000.00 BOND -
CHILD SECUAL ABUSE - SET 7-18-12 @ 1:30PM BEFORE JUDGE

I guess we will know for sure on 7/18... if he appears "in custody" or "out of custody."

Officials release Braden, look for suspect

Published:
Wednesday, July 11, 2012 12:00 PM CDT

Last Tuesday, authorities released Tommy Joe Braden from the Creek County Justice Center following the receipt of the State’s DNA testing results.

District Attorney Max Cook said the Oklahoma State Bureau of Invesitgation’s DNA analysis did not point to Braden as the suspect in the rape of a 4-year-old girl south of Sapulpa on April 6 in the 16100 block of S. Hickory in the Mobile Manor South Park.

Cook said the OSBI’s initial report leads to another person. Evidence through Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) points to a match of a suspect who was released from the Oklahoma Department of Correction about a month before the attack.

Law enforcement made a rush judgement,” Braden’s attorney Lowell Howe said.

Braden maintained his innocence for his 13 weeks in jail.

I knew it! I hope they find the true attacker ASAP and that Tommy is able to get his life and family back together.

I had the feeling this could be a rush to judgement. It's pretty bad to be falsely accused of such a horrible crime.

Sounds like they know exactly who it is:

Now they need to find the you-know-what.

http://www.sapulpaheraldonline.com/articles/2012/07/11/news/doc4ffda830723b3170701717.txt
Creek County Sheriff’s deputies are now looking for Patrick Edward Misner, 27. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections reported Misner is a white male with brown hair, blue eyes and tattoos on both shoulders.

Creek County Sheriff’s Deputy Capt. John Davis said Misner’s information was loaded into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center’s database.

From the article above:

Howe anticipates Braden’s felony charges will be dropped. He said Braden’s experience forced him to undergo an unbearable strain.

Poor guy.

THANK GOD this guy was in CODIS. Otherwise LE would have nothing to go on.

Looks like he spent time in the Portland, OR area: http://pdxmugshots.com/mug/patrick-edward-misner

If you google "patrick edward misner", all 25 results are mugshots or inmate listings. This guy needs to go away for life.

I hope Tommy Braden can put his life back together.

The mugshot that comes up here indicates he's in custody. Or was as of a few days ago. Gresham, OR.

Thanks, I didn't even notice that. So, after the rape, he left OK and went back to OR, where he got himself arrested, I guess. If thats the case, it certaintly simplifies things for the Creek County Sherrif's Office. I hope he's not out on bail in OR.

OMG! I KNEW it. Tommy just did not seem to fit the facts as we knew them. I am so relieved that he has been released. And I think his little girl needs him because that must have been devastating for her too. I think they will be able to overcome this because it seemed like people in his community were supportive and they thought it was a wrongful arrest as well. But it will be a difficult hurdle, nonetheless.
