I was finally able to recieve Stephen's military records. 121 pages that I need to go thru. Some are hard to see. I also recieved his DD214. Which list other than honorable for his discharge.

That's good news. I hope you find something that helps you resolve his disappearance.

Hi @Snoangel26 .... wow.
I know you know how many of us have supported you on this journey.

Hard to understand how and why there are so many pages for a single soldier.

I have lost track of some of the details you have shared over time...... but remind us again.
Are they any relatives or family connections you can lean on at this point in the journey.

Unfortunately the only family is his sister, that told me to never contact her again or she would deem it harassment. I will continue to search and I'll have him declared deceased.

I'm so sorry, that is terribly sad for you. Still hopeful you will get the answers you deserve even without her help.

I know this isn't very clear. But this is one of the pages in his file.

It would have been helpful if they had sent you some info on what the abbreviations mean. So it appears from this that he was apprehended on Oct. 29, 1976 and put in the Tulsa County Jail but had no civil charges. Then presumably he'd have been returned to his parent command unit, and they didn't recommend a psych eval upon his return to his unit. Is this the last date they show anything for him? How does that compare to the last date you had previously?

The last date I have that he went AWOL was November 1 1976. I emailed the detective and asked about him being in jail in October 1976

So perhaps he escaped either from the jail, or while being transported back to his unit, since that's just a couple of days later.

That makes sense.
