Investigators have recovered a significant amount of evidence from the crime scene, including many of the suspect’s personal items found inside a recovered truck.

The suspect’s dog was also found and has since been turned over to a local humane society.

Forensic testing confirmed that blood samples collected from the scene included one that matched a male and another that did not come from a human.

Additional DNA and fingerprint testing is still underway.

An autopsy completed Friday also confirmed the cause of deaths as suffocation and ruled the manner of deaths a homicide.

The Chelan County coroner also confirmed the girls died the night deputies say Decker picked them up.

The sheriff’s office acknowledged public frustration over the limited release of information, but said some investigative details must be kept confidential to protect the integrity of the case.

If he's alive I agree. But I still think he's most likely dead.
I wouldn't be too shocked if he isn't though.
I have wondered if he was ramped up paranoid/delusional and in "survival mode" with his behaviour on the video and up to the murders.

The de-personalization of his daughters cause of death... was he locked in "soldier mode" paranoid psychosis. I understand there was planning, but I will consider he planned as a soldier would for combat or escape combat - prepare, get rid of enemies, hide, etc.

I would think if in a state of psychosis and once the episode ended and he realized the gravity of what he did, he might kill himself. I go both ways on what state of mind he was/is in.

Moo..he has PTSD and borderline pd...they do go together. It is a problem with social connections.
I have. C-ptsd it means repetitive trauma. He is estranged from family...so probably childhood trauma...that usually means you do not know how to calm yourself...then there is military trauma...but you don't know how to calm yourself.
I disassociated frequently from a young age. This means I do not remember conversations or my or other peoples actions. I was seriously scared of myself for most of my life...I was sometimes violent...but I have no memory..just triggered..I don't like being touched. I didn't kill anyone but it didn't make me less.. possibly dangerous.
At 50 I found a dialect doctor...it changed my life. It also was 1hr a week for 6 years..the government is never going to pay for that kinda care for their soldiers...just load them with pills it's cheaper.
There are 2 different things happening here...he murdered children...I don't care if he remembers or not. Actually worse if he doesn't understand what he has done. And he definitely has mental health issues that were not taken into account with his access of his children...moo

Especially because he told the girls he might be moving back home, then after being turned down he showed up on the door step to apologize to the kids . Did he really believe there was a chance for him?

He also had a tent set up. im hoping as he took one out the others were in the tent, and didnt see. If they had to watch eachother, they would have run (unless incapacitated) they mentioned their hands being bound but not their feet. Im hoping they didnt see what was coming. Maybe he treated it like a game or something.
Sadly, he would have caught them in seconds.

2 hand prints, one human one animal, and the was dog is loose how many miles away? and his truck is left at the campground, how did the dog get there and when?
The 2 things he loved, his kids and his dog, the 2 things noone would have ever thought he would hurt.
What did he want people to think.
It's sounding more and more like an episode of criminal minds.

and they would probably be frozen in fear anyway if they saw anything.
There is also some confusing info being reported.
1, That he told the kids he'd be moving home/or he told the kids he may be going to jail? and later came to apologize.
2. Treatment for mental health, could he not get help? it or did he choose not to get help? I did read he refused to sign a paper asking for an assessment, is that getting confused as refusing treatment?
There is a big difference. A lot of attention is being paid towards the system failing him. is that accurate? I just don't want him to have any excuses or be able to shrug off one ounce of accountability.
