As a mom myself, I am so, so sorry to this grieving mama.
And for everyone whom these girls' lives touched, classmates, kids at the day camp, teachers, etc.

Also thinking about the responders/cops who found their little bodies -- they will have to live with the horrifying images forever.
I hope it was as instant as possible, as in while they slept.

I am holding my judgement for now.
More likely, it was case of domestic violence and he killed his own children out of spite. In that case, he really is extremely dangerous and I hope he never ever gets parole.
But also possible that he really had a mental health break (as the mother said he was struggling with mental health) and harmed them in a psychotic episode or similar. In that case, the realization of what he has done might be worse punishment than anything the courts can do.

During an immediate search of the area, the bodies of the three missing girls were discovered. Decker was not located.

Shortly after the discovery, the East Cascade SWAT Team was activated and began searching for Decker. The Washington State Patrol Crime Scene Response Team was requested to process the scene and search Decker's vehicle. Crime scene processing is expected to conclude sometime Tuesday, June 3.​

now that the initial shock of this news has faded, I cannot escape thoughts of how very frightened the three girls were. How did they die? Did they know something was off with Daddy? When? Did they try to run, hide? Were they terrified in their final moments?

These poor little girls, and all I can do is hope they didn't suffer long with the knowledge their daddy is responsible. shades of the Chad Doerman case.

We have been in close communication with the family at each step of the investigation. Yesterday morning Wenatchee Police Detectives met with the family to provide an update on the case. Later in the afternoon the family was requested to return, shortly after the truck was located. For the next several hours, the family remained at WPD with leadership and received updated information from the scene, as it became available. WPD, along with the other regional, state, and federal agencies are committed to working diligently to bring closure to this case,”​
