Various personal items were reportedly found inside, including blankets, food, car seats and a wallet "on the center console." A tent and cooler were also located "a short distance away," indicating signs of recent activity in the camp, according to the outlet.

IMO, TD had been at the campground since Thursday and most likely killed the children on Friday soon after collecting them. He had a good head start from the Sheriff and authorities. At the presser last night, the Sheriff said TD's father was arriving from Milwaukee last night to aid in locating him. Personally, I doubt they will find him alive.

On Wednesday afternoon, aerial and ground operations were underway with additional federal investigators joining the manhunt. Authorities are on site at the Johnny Creek Campground in Leavenworth.

What we know:


The Chelan County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) and partner agencies are conducting a large-scale search across Chelan County, including local national forest and wilderness areas. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office has provided two helicopters to assist in the search, and the CCSO Air Support Unit is also conducting air operations in similar areas.

"The self-sacrificing support our Deputies and partners provide is a testament to the profession, and shows their dedication to the victims, their family, and our community," a CCSO statement said. "We are extremely grateful to have each of them on the team."

Additional federal agents and law enforcement investigators arrived at the command post Wednesday morning to assist with the investigation.

Heartbreaking, just terrible news he killed them like that!! The one thing he may have done to aid in LE's discovery of their bodies sooner rather than later was to leave his truck nearby knowing it and the girls would be found nearby.

I hope he knocked them out first so they were unconcious when he killed them.

Yeah, I wondered about those bloody prints when we learned suffocation. First thought was defensive wounds as you describe. But for it to be handprints (plural)? I would expect maybe some blood smears if he were scratched up by the girls. That term - bloody handprints. Seems like quite a bit of blood would be needed to result in hand prints JMO

Did he kill his dog? Perhaps it was transfer from that?

The mom reported due to financial pressures, he talked about getting rid of his dog, he also stated, back payments for child support were coming off his pay cheque. He talked about getting rid of truck due to financial pressures as well.

I am a local in Wenatchee. It was hard to see children at the vigil last night with eyes red from crying. I wish none of this were real and that the grieving children didn't have to know that in this case the boogie man was a daddy.

It pains me so much to see this happen in the news. Seems like it's becoming more common. I wish people would stop harming the children because of domestic, narcissism, anger at court decisions and or child support disputes. what ever the reason, they are innocents and not part of adult problems which are occurring around them. They deserve a chance for a life too.

I hope he did it somehow in such a way the girls didn't realise in advance what he was going to do and that they didn't try to fight back for that reason alone.

Imagine realising that the person meant to protect you and that the person you'd always loved was going to kill you - what a terrible thing to have to grasp as a child. It would be somewhat easier to not know. That's what I hope for them.

Agreed. I think he purposely left his truck so the girls would be found fairly quickly once the truck was located. Additionally, he left his wallet as well and I will be totally shocked if he is still alive.

Such beautiful young girls with their whole life ahead of them. I can not even begin to fathom what the mom, other family members and friends are going through at this time.
