Mandi Graves, friend of Whitney Decker (and woman who started the GoFund) just posted this on FB remembering page for the girls. Something is happening. I wonder if they found Travis?

"Everyone PRAY! Now! 1 o'clock PST. Give Mama strength right now!"

Interesting.

Thought I'd seen the King County Sheriff's helicopter South of Leavenworth and due West of Peshastin, near Icicle Creek.

Then it disappeared from Flightradar24.

Transponder turned off? Hopefully, they've zeroed in on him, if he's there.

JMVHO.

I saw it also.

Yes! Not sure if the link works below but it's called "Remembering Paityn, Evelyn and Olivia!"

Is it the time of the hearing for the protective order?

eta apparently not. That was 9am. Perhaps something is happening.

I just texted my sister that!!! Think the family knows something? Praying for this to end

Does she often post with such immediacy? That's not even cryptic if there are no other prayer requests sounding that urgent. Having him caught is the last big hurdle to Mom starting her recovery if such a thing is possible. Sorry folks, I hope he is no longer alive when encountered.

Oh now I see UsernameRequired's post, but I still think finding him dead is better for everyone.

Murdered girls' mother blames POLICE for their deaths

I think there should have been an AA. They knew his make model of vehicle plate etc and if they didn't they had the means to get that info immediately. I wish they had done so.

I realize they had no direct threat to make them think the girls were in imminent danger but the totality of events leading up to that night should have given this case more urgency in LE's minds. JMO Shoulda coulda woulda
I think it's possible they were already deceased before his scheduled visit ended. So it's possible no AA could have saved them.

Travesty all the same.

The police requested an amber alert 2 or 3 times and they were denied.

then whatever agency governs that they didn't get it shares in the blame for the outcome MOO

ETA the following

WSP stated that the case of the Wenatchee girls did not meet Amber Alert requirements, as Travis Decker had no history of violence with his daughters and no evidence of abduction was found when they were reported missing.

“We all wish we could go back in time, but we can’t,” WSP stated, according to KOMO News. “We have a system, we have thresholds set, they’re through 50 states, it’s a success, but in this case, whatever alert we had did not work.”
No Amber Alert? Attorney slams system after Wenatchee murders

Last time I checked Washington State Police are LE - so my opinion stands.

I believe this also unless some evidence surfaces that he planned to abduct them to head to Canada. He knew what he was going to do, and I think he did it before he was supposed to have them back. He already had his phone off because I read mom's calls to his phone were going straight to VM. She went to the police station around 930pm after he didn't return them at 8pm. I think they were already deceased so I just don't think an amber alert would have prevented this.

an Amber Alert might not have saved the girls. But we will never know. Even if he took their lives prior to the time he was meant to return them, if one had been issued TD wouldn't have three days heads start on authorities. MOO
Precisely.
Hopefully this situation will help in addressing the issues with AAs

I think the bigger issue here is the courts. While it feels like maybe an AA could have saved them, if his intent was to kill them when he picked them up, I don't see how an AA hours later could prevent it. I also think if an AA is issued every time a parent is late bringing kids back, then people might not respond as quickly to AA's when they are issued. I think the court failed here because he was ordered to have an evaluation and that was in August and here it is end of May, so 9 months later and he didn't have the evaluation. To me that should have terminated his visits until a professional examined him and determined if it was safe for him to have unsupervised visits. I am not sure how a court can require something and then nothing is done to the person if they don't follow the order of the court. I don't think mom could predict this and neither could the court, but there was enough concern for the court to agree he needed a mental evaluation and then there was no repercussions when he didn't do it. If mom was legally required to send the girls with him, then what could she do if the court didn't change his visitation due to not getting the mental eval?

I still don't think mom felt he would intentionally harm them. It seems he was just careless and maybe the concern was more of the situations they could be in while in his care.
