As an ex army soldier, I would have thought if he was on the run, he would be very prepared. Unless, he has had a psychotic break and isn’t thinking right. And, it was not planned regarding his children or anything else.

Work was “bullying” him, he had money issues to the point he had to get rid of his dog, WD rejected him, and the girls had been upset about visiting him. I think it’s more likely he didn’t have a psychotic break, but that they were whining and throwing a fit about “dinner with dad” being pizza at a random campsite. He blames them for all the bad juju in his life and now they are ungrateful on top of it. He murders them with supplies he has around his truck, the dog bites him, and he walks away with a few supplies from his truck trying to get back to Wenatchee where his off-grid stuff is.

The scary thing is if he planned this, him and those girls could really have disappeared.

Our office recently received a tip from a hiking party who stated they spotted a lone hiker in the Enchantments area who appeared to be ill prepared for trail and weather conditions, and appeared to be avoiding others. Tracking teams immediately acted upon the information and spotted a lone, off trail hiker from a helicopter near Colchuck Lake who ran from sight as the helicopter passed. Additional assets were called to the area while they developed a plan to track the individual. Teams later picked up a trail and deployed K9s to the area, tracking the subject to the area of Ingalls Creek Trailhead on HWY 97.



Sheriff Morrison, along with a representative from the US Marshal’s Service, will be conducting a press conference at the Chelan County Courthouse stairs on 6/11/2025 at 4 pm.

This truly can be reflective of how profoundly his mental health was dysregulated. This seems pretty disorganized and shows a lack of critical thinking or sequencing.

If TD didn't realize what he did was wrong he wouldn't be running to escape judgement. JMO.

It is not that he doesn't know right from wrong. While aspects of this seem premeditated, it is also apparently not well thought through. He is missing some key clarity in this if he is the ill-prepared hiker above. Some acts do occur on impulse or the heat of the moment. Once someone cools down, most people do regret to a degree what they have done.

I think it’s silly to tell the public they’ve seen him and that they’re tracking him with scent before he’s been apprehended unless they’re absolutely positive he has no access to a device with signal.
