Hi to all,

I read in the posts from a couple of weeks ago that some might be interested in getting the "missing" buttons to wear for Brooke? Did you get the info?

My daughter will be going to Aloha High School (Go Warriors!!) this year and I have met Jared, Brooke's brother-in-law who is a Vice Principal there. VERY WONDERFUL GUY!!! MUST BE AN AWESOME FAMILY!! All he has said about the case is that they have not stopped investigating, and of course it is a very difficult time.

Anyway, I know he will be very busy for the next couple of weeks getting our little darlings all lined up in their classrooms but I would be happy to ask him about the buttons etc. in due time. Just let me know...

I totally forgot to ask the missionaries where we can get those buttons. I am sorry. I think it is a great idea to ask Jared. Thanks Lynie for the offer. I will try to follow-up as well. I just get so busy at church, I don't have much spare time. I sure wish we could have some good news by now. It breaks my heart that there is absolutely NOTHING.

It was me that asked about buying a button. Of course I would love to have one like her family wore. I live in the West Hills of Portland - actually Beaverton, so am very close to Tigard. I would wear it every day. Just a tiny way to do something to help.

Still waiting to hear any more news on Brooke. Somehow I feel she is at the bottom of a small body of water, weighted securely with blocks like he bought. Doesn't that sound so logical as he bought blocks like that at Home Depot in Tigard. Means she was still with him for the drive up to Tigard. Wonder where she was when Kim and his dad went to Home Depot? Not much loose time there. Maybe in the trunk or the car?

I'd love to know what the police are theorizing!

God bless you Brooke, where ever you are. We are holding you in our hearts.

there is so much to read on this lady I thought that I would just ask someone that has been keeping up with this case, have the police used any real good physhics? one that is for sure that is a good one is noreen ranier, she has solved a great deal of cases, the clues that she has given in the past when the cases finally were solved were dead on. hopefully the police will look at using her for this case.

So, I have a buddy down at OSU and apparently there was another attempted abduction today. I guess it was a few blocks from oak park, a fairly short guy in his early to mid 20's. The girl maced him and got away. No word if they believe there is any relation to brooks disappearance.

Police arrest Albany man in attempted abduction case

Corvallis, Ore. - According to Oregon State Police, an arrest has been made in the case involving a female college student who reported that a man tried to grab her.
Aaron Evans, 21, who is from Albany was arrested at his residence and charged with Attempted Kidnapping in the Second Degree, Attempted Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and Menacing.

The incident that Evans has been tied to occurred early Wednesday morning on Oregon State University's campus.

According to the woman, a man emerged from some bushes and tried to grab her, but she was able to get away.

Police say she was not hurt in the attempted abduction, which happened while she was walking in the area of Southwest 26th and Western Boulevard.

A detailed search of the university's campus was done after the woman's report on Wednesday, but police never found a suspect.

Oregon State Police says the arrest came after a citizen tip reporting suspicious behavior at a grocery store in Corvallis on September 29.

Although the attempted kidnapping happened not far from where 19-year-old Brooke Wilberger disappeared; police have not linked the two incidents.

Evans will be lodged in the Benton County Jail.

As I was sitting and eating dinner out with my husband, this thought popped in my head. IF they are considering this new person who tried to abduct another OSU student the other day, "a person of interest"... does that mean they have no evidence against the panty thief Kim?

I thought somewhere down the line they thought they had some kind of bodily fluid or something strange from in his car and in his garage? They would have had plenty time to test that and yet there has been nothing mentioned further about it.

The sad thing about this new guy they picked up is... his wife is expecting a baby any day now. He was arrested the week prior to exposing himself. They postponed his indictment as her birth was imminent. Then he tried to abduct the 21 yr old who got away. I feel so bad for his wife. He must be a very sick individual.

Cases like Brooke's are so frustrating. It is almost like she dropped off the face of the earth in broad daylight.

I sure hope they find the person responsible and like Lori Hacking's family, they can find peace with knowing what happened to her. Right now they have no clue if she is even dead or not. :(

I read in the paper today that his wife did have her baby Wed and has filed for "domestic separation." What a creep he is - it scares me that the place where he was harrassing that woman is within walking distance of our house. I still think about Brooke every day and wonder what in the heck happened to her. This case is so sad.

I did not realize you were another fellow Oregonian Annemc2. I live in Salem so not far from you at all. My son played in Corvallis tonight for a football game. He was injured but the ERs were too full, I will wait to take him tomorrow to have his hand x-rayed.

Are you loving this fall weather? I sure am. The fall and the spring are my favorite times of year in the Willamette Valley.

I sure do hope they find out some kind of information leading to the recovery of Brooke. I am LDS and know people who know her family. They truly are a wonderful family and have so much faith. God bless them.

Oh my gosh, read this article. We might have the person responsible for Brooke's disappearance.

Here is a some info from Evan's step-sister.

Family Suspects Evans Linked To Brooke's Case

by T.J. Mullinax

PORTLAND, Ore - The stepsister of Aaron Evans believes he may be responsible for the disappearance of 19-year-old BYU student Brooke Wilberger.

Evans' stepsister, Jessica Caywood, told KATU's Eric Mason the possibility of a link, "gave me a sickening, sickening feeling, it actually made me throw up at one point."

Evans lived with Caywood on and off over the years and she said he would disappear for several days at a time.

"I thought it was the drugs. He was running out and getting high and didn’t want to come home to the family that way, but he would just disappear," she said.

Yet when he returned battered and bruised shortly after Brooke's disappearance she became suspicious.

"He had a blackened eye that was swollen completely shut, a bruised nose, bloody lip, scratches on his chest, neck and hands," Caywood said. "After I had heard about Brooke disappearing I thought back - and that was the nail in the coffin for me, that's all that it took. I knew then and there."

Caywood told KATU she has a hunch where Brooke might be and hopes her information will help Brooke's family find her.

"I just want to help Brooke's family, she seemed like such a sweet girl," she said. "If it were my daughter and had something like that happen I would want the person caught."

Caywood plans to speak with detectives involved in the Brooke Wilberger case Thursday, October 7.

I watched the actual video and I got the feeling it was not until he was arrested for the attempted abduction that just happened. She started looking back and then she said a light bulb went off. He had disappeared for a few days during the time Brooke went missing. When he did show up he had all the scratches, bloody lip and a black eye that was swollen shut. He had told his family he had gotten mugged. Then later he changed his story to say it was over drugs. (He is on crystal meth off and on)

Then he was arrested for this attempted kidnapping and the police said he was a person of interest in the Brooke disappearance and she started putting 2 and 2 together and contacted the police. She really feels he had something to do with it and even thinks she may be able to lead LE to Brooke's body.

I sure do hope this is the guy and the family can finally bring Brooke home. I also hope he is the guy so we know another dangerous criminal is off the streets.

The sad thing is his wife gave birth the day he was arrested but she has filed for a separation I believe.

What makes her think she may know where Brooke is ??? Some type of family land or soemthing ???
I do feel bad for his wife....
I really hope they find Brooke..

I don't know the answer to this one. I think it must be some place he frequented often.

Wow...maybe they finally have their man and can find out what happened to Brooke. I pray this is so, and for the Wilberger family. Brooke was so beautiful!! :(
