If they keep solving all these cases, what are WE gonna do? We will all have to start crocheting or basket weaving or something! ;)

We'll all just have to take up helping all the new cases and making sure that everyone who can be DNA tested in a family is!

So excited for Annie Doe!!!

Annie Doe's DoeFundMe donation button is up! DDP has already used their own funds to sequence her DNA since it was ready but donations are on her behalf and will green light the next case.

I would love for that to be the case. Everybody identified and home to their loved ones.

Her case was updated today in NAMUS. Seems like a good sign.

Might have just been some backend notation then :)

Either way I consider it progress, because at least they are looking at the case and they are ready to proceed! I am so excited. Ah!

Posting the exclusion list as someone had mentioned earlier up thread and with the upgraded version of NAMUS many our international contributors do not have access to be able to see the rule outs.

its time for Annie to no longer be a Doe.

Agreed! I can hardly wait. What a phenomenal year for ID'ing people it's been.

Doe Project's new website has an update on Annie Doe.

'“Annie Doe” (State of Oregon Cold Case from 1971) has undergone one round of sequencing. However, the DNA results were too degraded to upload to GEDmatch. Her best hope at this point is to try to extract more DNA from remaining bone. This will require a new round of fundraising to cover both the extraction and a new round of sequencing.'

Dang :( let's hope the next sequencing works out better.
