My partner took the photos of Dave's marker, the bike path with Grizzly in the background and looking back up Normal with the sun behind the tree as well as some others. Sadly, some files are too large for the servers to upload here.
On Easter 2008 I took this picture of David that's since been used on his marker, in blogs, on the JCSO cold case website and in almost every news report that references Dave in the past 15+ years.

I also took quite a few pictures at Dave's memorial in 2008.
The screenshot on my post you are referring to (that includes the address in Salem) but isn't quoted here was from the Find-A-Grave website as
@Lilibet pointed out earlier.

The Find-A-Grave website was how I discovered that Dave's cremated remains aren't actually buried in the cemetery, it's just a marker there in the corner of the cemetery next to the bike path and train tracks across from Hunter Park.
I noticed the eldest of the Lewis siblings has a marker on David's plot as well.
That made me wonder who paid for the plot & marker, could it have been the person David had expected "to just show up?!"
Anything is possible. JMO
IMO-- It's possible Dave may have wanted his cremated remains scattered in a familiar well loved location like the lakes, his beloved mountaintop or the meadow below and that's why his remains aren't buried with the marker at Mountain View Cemetery in Ashland Oregon.
JMO--He was so young though, only 46; I don't know whether he'd had those end of life discussions with his ex wife or legal next of kin, his grown sons.
We talked a little about that after his friend/neighbor had passed suddenly but since Dave passed only a few weeks after we had spoken I doubt he'd taken the step of making a will. If he had it's possible it was lost in the fire. IMOO
I can assure you that I have contacted the Oregon State Police and reached out to the JCSO in recent months but reaching out to the @FBI isn't a bad idea.
@Sleuth2010
Do you have a case contact at the @FBI that you can share here?
My next step is going to the DA with the information I have.
I hope that helps answer your questions.
