Pendleton resident and East Oregonian employee Drew Langton is missing, and Pendleton police are trying to find him.

Langton, 29, has worked as a page designer for the East Oregonian since 2013. He did not show up for work Monday afternoon. Friends, family and coworkers have attempted to contact Langton, but no one has reached him.

Pendleton Police Chief Stuart Roberts said police began looking for Langton after 8 p.m. Monday. Roberts said officers have contacted people who could provide information about where he might be and also spoke to neighbors.

Langton returned home from a family vacation Saturday night, and police reported a witness saw him leave his North Hill residence at approximately 11 a.m. Monday. That was the last report police have of anyone having seen Langton.

Police “pinged” his cellphone and found it had been turned off, Roberts said. Investigators are also trying to follow other leads, but he said he could not reveal those at this time.

Langton is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has blue eyes.

He drives a 2006 black Ford Freestyle with Oregon plate 627KEN.

Police ask anyone who sees Langton to contact the local 24-hour dispatch center 541-966-3650.

I wonder if leaving his home at 11 am Monday would be the time he would ordinarily leave for work? Did he have an accident?

He looks like a nice guy....hope he is found soon & is okay. LE said they are following other leads so hope we hear good news quickly.

Police need help in search for missing man

Police are asking for help in locating Drew Langton, 29, who was last seen Monday at around 11 a.m. He was reported missing at 8:06 p.m. on the same day.

“We received a call from an employer when Drew Langton failed to report for work,” Pendleton Police Chief Stuart Roberts said.

Police Chief Stuart Roberts said the U.S. border patrol Wednesday in Texas stopped Langton, and he was alone and appeared in good health. Why Langton left Monday from Pendleton remains a mystery.

“He didn’t want to talk to anyone,” Roberts said.

Langton was adamant on that, the chief said, and would not talk to his family and refused to answer questions from Pendleton police.

Langton’s behavior is out of character from the man friends, family and coworkers knew. Some members of Langton’s family arrived Tuesday night in Pendleton. Roberts said detectives were meeting with them.
