um, right, he stole her credit cards
and now he's been released
just peachy ...
arghhh
Hiya LadyL,
With all due respect, we do not know whether he stole anything of hers or anyone's for all that matter. Heather obviously felt that Samuel was a friend, the ex-husband of her cousin. They may have known one another for many years (high school? family get togethers?) and she felt quite okay about him -- enough so to live in the same place with him. She was evidently helping him out, according to her family -- in fact, might she have said, "Here, use my card for some groceries for us." I know...maybe a stretch, but we have no information on the real possibility of the "credit card fraud and ID theft charges." But did Samuel ever do anything questionable like this before? I think it is possible that LE picked him up on a possibly trumped up charge due to the situation and to question him per Heather? They released him, perhaps they learned information that reasonably disconnected him from the charges they jailed him for AND due to questioning him about Heather (alibi?) Certainly, a "roommate" would be one of the FIRST people you might try to grab and question. Seems LE did this.
Samuel may be in as much shock as anyone else about Heather's death. I am not all together sure who the "cousin" is to whom he was married. I have found an FB page that makes me think this could be the cousin (or is it a sister of Heather?):

The two youngins in the photo on the above FB, could those be Mr. Sears children?
I found something interesting on the above FB page. The owner of the page asks:
>>Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?<<
Samuel responds with:
>>ok, i already told you to stop!<<
And the owner of the page says "Like." So it seems like friendly enough banter between two people who are "discussing" so to speak (and TW seems quite loving). In other words, I might imagine that the owner of the FB page knows Heather, knows she says she is a pyschic, and they are trying to say, "Look Samuel, I don't care what you might have heard from 'a psychic' -- these people don't win lotteries you know." Is it possible that Samuel permitted Heather to "read his future" and be led by it? And maybe TW (ex-wife?) was saying, "Ummm...you might ask yourself whether listening to a pyschic is a good idea."
I've done some researching on Mr. Mears.
His FB page photo shows quite an agreeable fellow, as opposed to
the scary booking photo in the paper (these make people look scary.)
I've also found Mr. Mears on an FB page congratulating people on the birth of their baby.
My reasonable guess is that Mr. Mears lived in Los Angeles County with many of the others in this case. I do not know if the person
on this page is him, but perhaps.
There is so much more to figure out here.
