I figured there was already something out there. Then it should be mandatory or you are find if you are finally found alive and you didn't have one.
I guess my adrenaline is shot. I really hope they are found alive, but it seems that not much consideration is given by risk-climbers for potential search and rescue missions.
(ducking) I'm sure I'll get flak (sp) for this comment, but it's just my opinion. **sigh**
Taximom.......Ya' know I said the same thing early on.
I think if they can make nice slimline cell phones ....someone should be able to make one of these locators with lightweight material.
The climbing site is quite angry about the talk about these locators.........
One of the men said that "with what they weigh, at like 5lbs. it slows a climber down and in that case is a hinder to a good climb"........
Its just our common sence that tells us that......every single climber needs this.......no ifs, ands, or buts.........
I really think......in all these years.......and in the improvements in cell phones, that.......just why isn't there a nice, slimline, locator......weighing no more then my cell phone. It would be imperative to have one.
Everyone is so frustrated.......and .........all these ........what if's.......come up. But, it is so important.....to get this problem solved for all climbers.
So .........oh my........we might as well share the load about this together.
We want them back so bad.........and then we want this situation to end.
(taximom, liz, Me......together on this)
Oh too sad.........one found dead.....can we find the other two in a cave I hope
