As for Kyrons mom holding the SM's hand, it is most likely that IF the Sm is involvedm she has no clue. LE wouldn't relseas that info until the arrest.

Tony, being a detective, most likely would "have the feeling" IF it was her, I am not so sure he would tell Kyrons mom at this piont of time.

Now, if Tony and Desirre DO suspect SM - then holding hands with her- would be their part in helping the LE investigation on the SM (like pretend that the do not suspect SM). If this why Desiree held SM hand, she did it for Kyron..... bless her heart...and may the Lord help her and give her comfort in her time of need...

Where's the turn against members of law enforcement, retired or otherwise?

Oh, and how great would it be to have actual 30-year retired LE input here on our threads, who have no personal (media-promotion-related) agenda sharing with us than some of these folks that blur the line between analysis and entertainment?

I didn't think there was a turn, I just think maybe people are on edge because we really want to hear some kind of news about Kyron. When we get to this point in the cases, I try to not take anything personally because I really do think people start getting agitated with the case and tend to take it out on others, even if they really don't mean to. Plus, I'm still a newbie so I feel like I should stay quiet sometimes, as stupid as that sounds!

Anyway, I've actually tried to get my dad to become a member here He is still just as interested in all these cases as he was when he was LE. I think once he starts feeling better, I can convince him to do it. Until then, I will start asking for his input! I did talk to him this afternoon, he wasn't making much sense (still on pain meds from surgery) so I decided to wait until he is a little more with it before asking. Might get some crazy insight from him right now! :crazy: I'm hoping he might be able to answer why LE is approaching this case like this, he has worked with the FBI numerous times.

The Columbia River is absolutely HUGE. I can't imagine finding anyone in that river. I am shocked they are searching there. JMOO

I have a question for my southern buddies: Remember that sighting of a white truck pulling into someone's driveway or the like 2 times?? Was that on 30? Was that on the way to Sauvie Island?

My oldest child school has passes that we scan to get into the building. If you don't have it you need to get buzed in and then they take your I.D. I love it, only problym is you have to remember to leave the pass in the car after you go into the school.. also the teachers bring the children to your car,you can't get out. This is a private school and I never have to worry. Just wish all schools did this, its a small school too... also its a unmarked school meaning if you didn't know about it you would think it was just some building. So, so sad.....

I've said this before...I don't believe it was the SM. We all need to remember Jaycee Duggard's SD, and Kevin Fox. Good Lord, the hell these two must have gone through: losing a child and then being accused. Very, very sad.

Plus, especially with younger children, it's extremely likely that a parent was the last person to see them. It's common sense...not something that should lead to a suspicion of guilt.

I wonder if the bridge at Sauvie Island has a camera? Probably not but it would be nice.

I was wondering if maybe a camera/cameras on or around Sauvie Island picked up something that was being looked into. I mean someone or something that they wanted to check against the videos/photos they are requesting from the June 3rd and/or June 4th.

The article does state that deputies will not confirm if it's related to the search for Kyron....

They are diving in the river that Sauvie Island is in. It's the giant river that makes up much of the Oregon/WA border. It lies east/north of Hwy 30. So it is just a 15 minute drive from Kyron's school.

This isn't something I wanted to read today. Thank you for sharing and your helpful directional guides.

Thank you! As a SAHM myself, I am with my kiddo almost 24/7. If, heaven forbid, my child were to go missing, odds are it would be within minutes of being with me!

I believe that someone started a separate thread to discuss school security that does not apply to Kyron's school, so this one can stay on topic better.....maybe its down in the parking lot?

IIRC, this was a neighbor of the family, possibly on a different road, close to the school & home per Pufnstuf's lovely map.
