It is quite obvious that the Science Fair pic was taken on the 4th - THAT DAY - but yet when asked about when that pic was taken in a presser, LE said "no comment" - WHY? Its obvious - so why the "no comment"? I remember that last week and it really threw me. So, thoughts on why LE would not comment on when that pic was taken when its very obvious of when it was?

Yes, they are holding hands. And it looked to me that bio mom moved her hand as to take Sm's hand.

Yes, I see what you mean. The bio-mom, Desiree, reaches over and takes Terri, the stepmom's hand, and holds her hand. Then they continue holding hands. Very nice to see these two women comforting and supporting each other.

It was reported that kids went to their classes at the bell (8:45) and broke up into smaller groups to tour the exhibits then regular classes started at 10. IOW, I took it to mean the kids were supposed to be at school and in class at the regular time, not that school started late that day.

That also means that they were still being supervised at 8:45, get to the class room, get into groups, tour the exhibits until 10 or 9:45 and then regular class. That is my take on this.

Deputies have not confirmed this search has anything to do with Kyron per the link below. However, as a former local and current "Localish", IF this search is related to Kyron, I'm thinking they must have something (tip, info, evidence, pings, ??) to start the search with the Columbia as there are a few bodies of water/waterways in the area. Just my own thinking here. Not sure what to think anymore, just so sad that Kyron isn't home yet.

These pics. I do notice there is a man in the one pic. Not sure about a calender.

There's a little girl and part of what looks like the same man in the second one.

I am having a hard time with the fact his science fair project was set up, his jacket was there, his pack back, and if he went to the bathroom or to get a drink, why wasn't he missed and marked absent..... what happened. And you know that will be addressed; it has to for the sake of the other kids safety. sorry I am so upset about this.

HLN saying isolated case, sorry but this is feeling more and more like the Ethan Stacy case....I do hope I'm wrong...

ETA; I would say right now I'm pretty jaded also, not saying I know who did this either there is simply not enough information.

What is HLN? So many acronyms ...

Thanks, I just wondered where they saw that, because I didn't see any calendar. And someone, a Gina Zimmerman, saw the step Mom taking the picture of Kyron that morning, the 4th anyway. Maybe it's just me, but I have seen nothing that leads one to believe the step mom is involved. Doesn't mean she couldn't be I guess, but I don't know why there's all this suspicion about her? She seems to me to have no more reason to be held suspect than ANY of the other persons that were around that morning. JMO

I am trying to find it now, but I did read a short article several days ago where the last sentence read something like: It has been confirmed that the photograph of Kyron in front of his science fair project was taken on the 4th. It may have been the article that addressed the modern issues of social media in investigations.

Just remember that we don't have all the facts. LE and the school know what happened.

Headline News, they were talking about the case

ETA: I turned it on right as they were telling other parents in the area not to worry, police say it's an isolated case.
ETA: In other words they are saying nobody is stalking the school halls taking children.

The picture was taken on the 4th that morning.

Parent Gina Zimmerman was at the school for the science fair, which she described as major academic and social event for the school where the day's events included an afternoon talent show.

She said Kyron is not the type of child to wander off. "He knows 'stranger danger," she said. "He's a really good kid."

Parents are shocked at the disappearance, she said, and have been calling to share concerns at "our little school where everyone knows everybody."

She last saw Kyron in the morning, when he posed in a classroom in front of his "red-eyed tree frog" science project. He was posing for a picture taken by his mother, whom he loves, Zimmerman said.

Zimmerman's daughter Madi is one of Kyron's best friends.

The 8-year-old said she and Kyron would play Dragons and Knights and sway together on the tire swings. "I'm very worried and I hope he's okay," she said.

She also said Kyron would not have gone off with a stranger, only with his mother, whom he loves.

I am so infuriated with the school when it comes to this case. IDGAF what they say a phone call should have been to the parents stating that their child never showed up otherwise they could have got police involved right away. As I said before I live in a town of about 600 people total and just this year there were a total of 120 students Pre-School - 12th that attended the school down here(and yes this is a regular school that was total number of students in that school) and they still call the parents if a kid doesn't show up. This is complete and utter BS that this school doesn't do that. I don't care what size the town or what the attendance plan is there they should have called the parents.

I thought I read some where on one of the threads that the school said there were no subs working that day. Do they know who the Sub was Tanner was talking about. Does anyone remember the statement.

There were no official substitutes in the school on that day. However, listening to Tanner's statement, it does seem that someone was in the room helping out that day.....whether it was a class mom, a para professional or whatever, we've never been told. Although WE don't know who she was, I bet LE knows!!

I think we live in a world where because of certain outcomes suspision is natural and is going to happen, people have their opinions, we all do.

Of course things that have happened before help us to form opinions when something new occurs. HOWEVER, the "suspicion" against SM seems to rapidly be becoming set in stone for some people. When a person's actions are being interpreted as "disgusting to the bio-mom" when SM reaches out, then when the mother of the child reaches out to SM, it is interpreted as "keeping your enemies close" that tells me that the opinion formed isn't going to change with facts or new actions. The opinion has been made, and no matter what, it isn't going to ever be favorable to SM. While that may be understandable to some, it really isn't part of "sleuthing."

I agree, some of it was cruel, Im not saying be cruel by any means.

I know for sure that no poster here means for any thing they speculate upon to be cruel. But it is always wise to put yourself in the place of an innocent mother of a missing child and say what would I consider cruel? For that matter, what about the innocent other children, it is THEIR mother being unjustly accused. Why would anyone claim to be so concerned about Kyron, yet purposely say things that will for sure cause those other children pain?

To be honest when LE say things like that...its going to make the public question the Step Mother. Ie if it wasnt taken that day it changes things...so I think the cops are being kinda stupid there :(

Yes, I believe it is an isolated case as well. And I believe very careful planning went into it. My fear is that the crime was sucessful and will continue to be so. Unfortunately.

If this is not an appropriate question, please remove, mods.
Was bio mom due to pick Kyron up later that evening, the day Kyron went missing for a weekend visitation?

We don't have confirmation of that, but there are rumors to that effect.

Exactly. Either he was taken by force, which LE considers an isolated incident, or he left with SM.
Or, other family member or friend...somebody he knew.
