This is an interesting question. I've not seen it done before. And I want to know why.
Sometimes we really don't need to read too much in to what's been released - but this is out of the ordinary, IMO. How would releasing his pictures help find Kyron?
I almost have to conclude, between these pictures and Kaine's e-mail, and CARD showing up immediately that LE was thinking kidnapping since the beginning. (The pictures were meant to humanize the victim more for the kidnappers?)
Which then makes me wonder what they may have learned about Kyron & his family early on that led them to think kidnapping...
I'm still thinking about it. Thanks for the help again with Kyron's pictures tonight, BTW.
That would explain why they said it was a unique and isolated case so very early in the investigation.
I can't think of any other reason to release these pictures. It seems that way too with the questions they chose to answer much later, such as his favorite color, what he was looking forward to, etc... but, why would they be thinking this way still? The reward for finding him, not an arrest, so very telling, IMHO, how could they still be thinking that way?
And, the release today, saying they are going back to the area of the school, canvassing the neighborhood again. In light of the other things, that confuses me. What are the looking for now, if not a suspect, and they are clearly not looking for a suspect anymore, if ever.
