A stuffed Tonka truck, is that what that is? And is that a rattle on top of the truck? :waitasec:
I keep remembering that the teacher (and substitute) reportedly (Tanner's video) took the students on a tour of other classes to see the other students' work. Then we have the sub noting that Kyron was not with the class......to me, this IMPLIES (please note that this implies to me!!!) that the sub had seen Kyron WITH his classmates as they toured the other classrooms.
(Am I making this clear as mud? LOL) The school official says the teacher never saw Kyron in class which started at 10.
IF Kyron was never with his classmates as they toured the exhibits, WHY the the sub note his absence?
Just a little something that has been bugging me.
Okay, I see it. Good observation. It's tough to figure out shadows in a room with as many different light sources as that (and did she use a flash?). Also you can see a "V" on his neck which appears to be a strange artifact of light. So it could be explained by one of those two factors but I really don't know.Sorry, I am speaking about his right arm ( Not the arm behind his back) and the "shadowing" around it. Does that make sense? It does not look like a shadow, but almost looks like a cut and paste. Just odd to me as I have never seen that in any photo personally before.
Did I kill the thread ? lol.... sorry

see if this link works:
oh, and it looks like this op ed piece blended two stories together? You might want to edit and remove the link and the copy and paste of the article. If the site isn't showing up, it's blocked. That means we are not allowed to link to it and copying and pasting from other sites, is against TOS.
Welcome
Based on this, I believe he did make it to class at 8:45 to be put into a group and when they returned to class at 10, he was noted as missing from the group and then marked absent. JMO
I also believe he was last seen in his group at around 9 am by the "sub" or parent volunteer that was leading the group. When that person returned to the class with the kids - she indicated to the teacher that Kyron was missing and teacher said he probably went for a drink or to the bathroom.

I noticed in the media thread that the photo of the hallway with
desk and garbage can that was being discussed in thread 15 is
described as outside Kyrons classroom.
The man going down the steps is noted by name and is the janitor.
Interesting the stairwell is right there. Someone can be out of sight
a lot faster down the stairs than down a long hallway.
I pictured long wide hallways with good sight distances and Kryron disappearing into thin air.
I've actually wondered if the sub is the last person to see Kyron, also. The police haven't released the identity of that person, but the fact that she noticed him missing tends to make me think she knew he had been there earlier.
Thanks for writing back, Calliope. I think I am not expressing myself clearly. I don't think that the Hormans have lost entitlement to their rights, nor do I think they should lose any of their rights.Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I've been sitting here rather stunned at this post. Not to be a smartaleck, but why would you think the Horman's aren't entitled to the same rights as the rest of us?

We don't know what anyone in the lives of Kyron have told investigators.
As an aside, if Kaine's email is for real (I'm behind, so I don't know if it has been publicly verified) I found it very suspicious that he would be asking his company co-workers NOT to speak to the media. First of all, who has the gall to tell people what to do, or even request that?
This doesn't mean that I think Kaine, Kyron's father, is guilty of anything but it makes me wonder what in the world motivated him to even issue such an email (if he did). It comes across as controlling and manipulative; not to mention, suspicious.

Since everyone keeps saying "people are talking" it seems that the people who know them from work, school, their neighborhood, their church, the gym, boy scouts, cub scouts, the day care center, the soccer team, personal friends, etc must be "talking" also. SO, why is it that the ONLY negative comments are coming from people who do NOT know them in any capacity? We have seen comments from the school staff, other parents, other kids that know the family well...guess what....every one of those comments from the people who were in their daily lives have been GOOD comments. This includes ALL the references to them by LE personnel.
And FWIW...we have seen no indication that LE is not 'competent'. IMO they have all acted in a very responsible and professional manner in this case.

They have to be free or LE would be screwing this up in a major way. they would have to be mirandized if they were in "custody" of some sort. Thanks for writing back, Calliope. I think I am not expressing myself clearly. I don't think that the Hormans have lost entitlement to their rights, nor do I think they should lose any of their rights.
I was simply asking here if anyone knows whether or not they have the choice to ask LE to leave their homes. I realize that, under most (all?) circumstances we have the choice of whether or not we want LE in our homes.
I got the impression that this was an LE decision, not a request by the family; and my impression could be way off of the mark, it could be all wrong. The LE spokesperson, more than once, and again very recently in a press conference, informed the public that they (in the person of a police captain) would be staying with this family nearly around the clock until the case is resolved. I find that strange. Now, if the spokesperson for LE had said something like, "the Hormans have asked us to stay with them," well then, that would be that. That might not be usual but it also wouldn't raise the red flags that this LE statement and situation did for me.
I just wonder if they are under suspicion and are no longer completely free.
Not sure if I made my thoughts any clearer. It is hard, sometimes, communicating through writing, as we all have our own ways of expressing ourselves.
These are my thoughts and opinions.
