Is there any news on why so long for husband to report her missing?

 • #22
Has anyone heard a peep out of Lori's husband? I haven't even seen a photo of him yet so it appears he's keeping a low profile....

Search Fails to Find Missing Bend Woman
Police Release Photos of Lori "Woody" Blaylock, Purse

BEND, Ore. -- Friends of a northeast Bend woman missing for more than a week conducted a search of a large area around her home Saturday but turned up no sign of her, police said as they issued new photos in hopes of locating her, including one of a purse identical to hers.
Co-workers of Lori J. Blaylock, 48, reported her missing to police Tuesday. Her husband Steve was the last to see her the evening of Thursday, Oct. 28. She reportedly walked away from their home at 2671 NE Genet Court, said Sgt. Brian Kindel.
Kindel said Saturday that police officers and members of Search and Rescue also have conducted similar searches of areas known to be frequented by Blaylock, “with negative results.”

This is all I have seen...

NewsChannel 21 caught up with Blaylock's husband, Steve, at their home Wednesday night. He declined to talk with us on camera, but he did say when Lori left, he thought she would simply be back that night. He said he loves her and wants her back home safely.

Hmm. I don't know if it is recent marriage or not.
Can you post the link to her Wright name?

It's rare not to get a hit on a name with the program I use. Usually that only happens when the person is very young or they are living a transient lifestyle. When I ran "Lori J. Blaylock" I got nothing, but when I did a reverse addy search I found Lori J. Wright. Nothing on a Steve/Steven Blaylock with an association to Lori or to Bend, OR.

The home was purchased in 1999 and is in Lori's name only (Lori Wright).
None of this means anything, nor am I suggesting something is out of order. Just putting it out there in case it could be helpful later.

We've all heard this story before. Woman walks away from home. Hubby doesn't report her missing.

I sincerely hope that this case doesn't turn out like the others!

Come home safe, Lori!

The husband of a Bend woman says he saw her leaving their Northeast Genet Court home around 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28.

The ABC affiliate station in Bend, KOHD, reports Blaylock's husband says he last saw her walking "away from the residence." She is reported to have been wearing a black sweater with a white stripe on the sleeves, blue jeans and white tennis shoes, slinging a black purse with backpack-style straps.
---pic of her purse---

This is new. He sees her walking away at 10:00pm at night. ?

reading this just makes me so irritated ... i dont think i can recall even one case in which the husband/so claiming that the missing person just walked/ran/drove or was picked up was the truth. these guys must not watch the news or read the paper. all i know is that if i was the last person to see a missing person and that really is what happened i would be out searching 24hrs. a day until i found them just because i had such a flimsy story. grrrr... next we will prolly hear him saying that she had a boyfriend that she left with.
sorry for the rant :blushing:

It makes no sense for the husband to actually see his wife walk away at 10 pm but not know why or where she is going. LE should be all over this husband until he can be totally cleared of wrong doing. Wonder if the home has been searched?

 • #31
When is LE going to get with the program?!

Things that make you go hmmmmmmm................

Hubby last person to see her
Hubby did NOT report her missing...............work did.....
Hubby won't go on camera

Now we need a search warrant for home and ALL vehicles.
Cadaver dog.

Talk to friends and neighbors and family, how was the marriage?
Financial problems?
B/F or G/F of either spouse!

Don't wait until a body is found for the SW, please do it now! Women don't just walk away willingly. MOST of the time.

The pages of WS are FULL of (including MANY unsolved) women who were last seen by their spouse and HE said they walked away, SOMEONE else reports the victim missing, EVERYTHING (in her case she took her purse?) left at home, including a vehicle.

"Please come home Lori, please anybody if you've seen her, talked to her, given her a ride. Call the number. Let's bring her home, we want to bring her home," says friend and co-worker Richelle Hartman.
Fliers posted around the neighborhood that family, friends and community members searched over the weekend.

"It's not like her to just to disappear,'' said Diedre Moore, a co-worker at the hospital who went to Lane Community College with Blaylock. Moore said Blaylock has been married to her husband Steve Blaylock for 15 months.

Moore said Blaylock missed a mandatory staff meeting at the hospital the day before her husband said she walked away from their home, and "she's pretty good about coming to those meetings because she likes her job."

Moore said it was also out of character for Blaylock to leave without her pickup truck.

Police Seek Public Sightings of Isuzu SUV With Cargo Trailer

By Barney Lerten and Joe Burns, KTVZ.COM

BEND, Ore. -- The nearly 2-week investigation into a northeast Bend woman’s disappearance took a serious new turn Tuesday as police searched her home and three vehicles, and asked the public if it saw an SUV and utility trailer in the area or on a mountain pass around the time she vanished.
Detectives, assisted by the Oregon State Police Crime Lab based in Bend, served a search warrant Tuesday morning at the home of Lori “Woody” Blaylock and her husband Steve at 2671 NE Genet Court, said Sgt. Brian Kindel. Neighbors saw large forensics lab vehicles and crime scene tape as authorities searched the home, as well as the vehicles, including an Isuzu Trooper.

I just read more...

snip

Police asked for the public’s help, including residents of Deschutes, Marion, Lane and Jefferson counties as they still called it a missing person investigation, though no doubt with some dark undertones.

snip
Sgt. Ben Gregory said the Trooper was one of the three vehicles examined at the home, and the trailer also has been located and examined, though he would not say where it was found or where it is located now.
Kindel said they are trying to learn of the Isuzu and trailer’s whereabouts in the period of time from two days before to three days after Blaylock’s husband said she walked away from her home.
“It is possible the vehicle and trailer traveled over one of the Cascade Mountain range passes during this time frame,” Kindel said in a news release.

These two parts really bother me..

Is this what I think it is??

snip
If anyone has seen a white Isuzu Trooper pulling a white utility trailer between Tuesday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 31, they were asked to contact Bend police at (541) 322-2960 or after hours through Deschutes County 911 dispatchers at (541) 693-6911.

Kindel said they are trying to learn of the Isuzu and trailer’s whereabouts in the period of time from two days before to three days after Blaylock’s husband said she walked away from her home.

Yeah, I think so.......... :(

So, I wonder what is making them think the "vehicle and trailer" traveled over one of the passes (Mt Hood, Santiam .. isn't McKenzie closed?)
