Under what circumstances would the judge make this decision? any other trials in oregon where this has been ruled recently?
I think the article in post #479 pretty much sums up why the Judge made that decision.

“If that 50-some page affidavit and that PC affidavit would be unsealed, it would unleash an army of people, of reporters and others, who would be tracking down key important witnesses, some of whom are terrified of being involved and it would without question derail what we have going on right now, “ said Chief Deputy DA Jeff Lesowski.

“I am denying the motion to unseal the records for a variety of reasons and I am going to make a clear record…It is clear to me that this investigation is ongoing, it is not completed, and this could cause problems for this case,” said Judge Rebecca Guptil.

Police executed another search warrant last week.

Nothing new other than BS appeared remotely for his status check yesterday. That and all her supporters standing up to violence outside the courtroom. More at the link.

Schubert appeared remotely for his status check Monday, Dec. 16 at the Washington County Courthouse in Hillsboro.

Nothing new in this article either, as far as I can tell. My heart goes out to her family during what must be a very difficult holiday season without her for the first time. :(

The loss rocked the community, and organizations across the region still gather to call for action and justice against her alleged murderer.

Numerous rallies have been held in support of Jubane and in opposition to violence against women and Filipinos.
