Apologies to whomever posted because I do not recall. Who wants to join me for a free vacation in St. John's in the Virgin Islands? It is difficult to get a spot, but we will take it over. I assume that only white people with maybe a token black person can go. Sorry.

It was me! I think it's the easiest National Park to defend. We can harass and intimidate the residents until they leave, move into the park headquarters, eat lots of mangoes and papayas, and have suckers send us anything else we need.

Oh, we'll need lots of blue tarps for hurricane season.
:highfive:

blue blue blue. sorry. I am sick of blue. We need our own tarp color to identify our group. Tropical, I feel.

What about weapons? What should we put into our checked luggage? There must be a nice weapon
color that will be tropical.

I think we should design some tropical clothing during our free vacation . We can get people to make it and have the profits put into the new Cayman Island account we will personally go make while we are vacationing in St. John's.

Thank you US govt and a shout out to the Rockefeller who made this park possible! I wonder if it would only be right to ask for discounted or free airline tickets to get there?

I'm thinking the gear-tarp-apparel-beach-umbrella-parasail-luggage fabric should be a camo of palm trees, flamingos, sunfish, flip flops and surfboards.....

Court sides with US agency in decades-old land-grazing case

BY SCOTT SONNER
Associated Press

RENO, NEV.
Siding with the government in a decades-old battle over grazing rights, a federal appeals court overturned a lower-court ruling in favor of a Nevada rancher and strongly admonished a judge in Reno for abusing his power and exhibiting personal bias against U.S. land managers.

Oooo ooooo! Lilly Pulitzer is kinda camo, no?

So, so, excited! Packing my survival kit of body butter, Kerastase, and Clarins sunblock! *clap clap clap*

Now, for survivalist snacks, are we talking cracked crab or something tacky like shrimp cocktail? Cuz, you know, I may be marginally committed to the "cause" but c'mon, I am not a savage.

Also, will their be air purifiers in each cabana? My skin is extremely sensitive to pollutants, so, yeah.

Squeeeee!!!! So esscited about our totes awesome sleepaway!

I mean, our militant occupation. Ooops!

Let's not forget the undies. For snackeroos, no redneck militia cream of mushroom Campbell's soup: I vote Mai Thais with umbrellas and piña coladas, seaweed crunchies, toasted coconut slivers, mini quiches with crab, home-fried shrimp chips....

"Novelist Obliterates The Bundy Militia — And Oregon’s Largest Newspaper — In 194 Words"

Award-winning author Ursula K. Le Guin has lived in Oregon for more than half a century, and has regularly visited the region surrounding the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge for 45 years. Ever since armed militants took over the refuge in a dispute over ranching fees on public lands, Le Guin has “been following the situation very closely,” she said in an email to ThinkProgress.

So when she saw an article titled “Effort to free federal lands” in the Sunday Oregonian, did what any self-respecting, world-renowned author would do.

If they leave the refuge to go on little adventures is there no way to keep them from re-entering? What about keeping the new people out?

Oh. Right. Nevermind.

The meeting last night was a community meeting, not a Bundy meeting although they were there. There is also an audio at the link. I have not listened to it yet.

Burns Meeting Grows Tense When Militants Arrive
by Amanda Peacher OPB | Jan. 19, 2016 11:15 p.m

http://www.opb.org/news/series/burn...urns-meeting-grows-tense-with-bundy-presence/

“At the beginning of Tuesday’s community meeting in Burns over the ongoing occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife refuge, county Judge Steve Grasty said that his mission for the evening was to unify the community.

“I want our message to be, ‘How do we bring this place back together,” Grasty said.

But that mission was derailed when occupation leader Ammon Bundy and his supporters arrived midway through the gathering. The atmosphere in the high school gym became increasingly heated, with supporters and opponents of the militants occasionally shouting over each other.

Speakers from Harney County began directing comments to Bundy and the other occupiers.

Isabelle Fleuraud pointed at Bundy from across the bleachers. “You should just go home, and I hope somebody catches you on the way, and you go to jail where you deserve to be,” she said, her voice strained.

Bundy and the other occupiers sat quietly in the bleachers or stood in the back of the gym. At least a dozen sheriff’s deputies stood positioned around the gym, watching the scene with care.”

*

“Some residents asked to hear from Bundy, but Judge Grasty emphasized that the microphone was for Harney County residents only.

Anyone that’s doing criminal activities is not welcome here,” Grasty said. He offered to give Bundy a ride anywhere he wanted out of Harney County, even to Utah.

*

Bundy and the other occupiers left quietly at the end of the meeting, walking past several sheriff’s deputies on the way to their trucks.

Grasty said that community meetings will take place weekly while the occupation continues.”
