This photo was also part of the JCSO report and would be a driver’s license photo. If he rented a car, I assume he may have been from out of town. The rental agency would know. The only West Coast people by this name are in their late 70’s…one just over the CA border from Jackson County and the other from closer to the SF Bay Area. All the rest (there aren’t many) are from the Midwest and East Coast. I suppose he could have flown into the airport in Medford. I wish there was more info. I would think he would have been recovered by now if he’d drowned in the Rogue River.

Richard is still missing. He has been added to NamUs.

Richard was last seen at the Medford Airport after renting a silver truck. He was supposed to follow his sister and drive from the airport to Yreka, CA. Richard never arrived to Yreka and the rental truck was found several days later, abandoned in a parking lot in Gold Hill, OR near an access point to the Rogue River. Jackson County SAR responded and searched the river and surrounding area for several days. Richard was not located. Family believes that he is "living off grid" and doesn't want to be found. Possibly using an alias.
