Could Joey Haines be a potential match? A 25 year old man who disappeared from Monroe Michigan on June or July of 1991. He disappeared after getting a fight with his brother in the summer of 91. He wasn't officially reported till 2011. The details of how he disappeared are pretty muddled. With the dispute between him and his brother and the fact it went unreported it would appear that it would potentially be a run away case with the Haines family being reluctant to report him missing because the brother would get in trouble. The Haines family contained 6+ family members at the time and I wouldn't really think they'd not officially report him missing if they thought he was murdered.

Similarities between Joey Haines and Tillamook County john doe include strawberry/blondish hair, scar on right cheek, and hair length. Joey Haines height is listed as 6'1 however with him being reported officially missing 20 years later this might not be accurate.

@SpecZ_! Not a bad potential match. Joey's MP file in Namus has 10 ruleouts but this set of remains is not one of them. (Joey is also not r/o on the UID's Namus file). If you have not submitted previously I would suggest perhaps doing so via the Doe Network submission page, as they offer you the opportunity to give all your comparison notes (including the possible reason for height differential). Let us know if you do submit or not - Doe Net will normally respond to you within a few days.
