Paul Andrew Reyes of Grants Pass, Oregon, has been handed a 20-year sentence for assaulting his girlfriend's two-year-old child and leaving it with life-threatening, permanent injuries.

Not much more info than that, I'm afraid, but guess it's enough. Hope he serves full term.
