Is it just me, or does something not add up here. Why get gas? at a few different gas stations at that only to leave the car in a walmart parking lot.

it's not just you.

clint's whereabouts are verified (i think) because he says he visited a hospital and went on to her parents' house within that two hours between her boss calling him and his call to the police.

so whoever took her was under a time constraint. after that 9:30 gas-up or coffee or whatever he bought, he (she, they) took only one hour to commit the crime, dispose of a body, the car, and get away.

and yet it took her "friends and family" little over that same hour to assemble, organize, print flyers, and end up in a remote corner of a crowded parking lot to identify her car from the front plate & hood.

doesn't add up to me. maybe it's me. or us. lol.

Baffles me as well. Also, the vehicle (from photos) appears to be backed into a parking space, between the lines. So, would that be to make the vehicle not appear to be out of place? Seems like it would be easier to just dump the vehicle or pull in, nose first and go. I hope they are checking all Tri-Met bus videos for anyone hopping on the bus(es) in that Walmart area.

Driver's side facing away from a camera in the p-lot?

I do have a technical question:

Was the vehicle seen on wal-mart security camera's driving into and parking ?

Is the 11:17am time mentioned in the press conference the time the vehicle was found by the family , or from video ?

Regardless of what is said here, REMEMBER, we do not sleuth or accuse those that have not been named as supects or POIs by LE.

Thanks,

Salem
Am I missing something here?I have followed the Kelli Bordeaux case pretty extensively and her husband has been ripped apart and accused for the past 6 months. Is there something that makes her case different or are you just trying to enforce the rules more stringently now?

First presser to make me cry. First time I have said that this husband, without a doubt in my mind, wants his wife home. Glad the mom could hold it together, he dad looked a mess, too. So devastating.

I'm assuming they already have the perp, otherwise we'd have more info on the videos. If they saw her car parked at 11:17- via security video- then they also have who parked it there. MOO

Did LE say if the window was broke from inside or out?

My question is ... At what point was the window broken. She was seen in the passenger seat at one of the gas stations. The man was already in the vehicle with her. It wouldn't have been before she got in the car because if it was busted then, she probably would have gone back inside.... What would the motive be to bust the window after the POI was in the car?

They will not give any specific details other than what has already been released. I assume 11:17 is from the video. Earlier yesterday they were saying the car was found at 1:00 something in the afternoon. That would have been the family, IMO.

I clicked on the guy's link, but it comes back page not found. Meghan said she saw it though?

That guy's twitter seems suspicious.

1) He has no followers until today
2) No posts until today to tell to all newsreporters about some interesting story developing on FB
3) Earliest and first post was about prankdial and then talks iphone app and then tweets to starbucks about whitney and says "..ur barista..." and then this spam to all reporters.

My guess is video. Family found it in the parking lot and probably had whipped out a cell phone to call LE, thus noting the general time they found it. Much easier to have Walmart pull a 2 or so hour timeframe (since they knew the banking activity by that point) and review it quickly.

I would be looking for someone with scraches on the face or hands since tuesday
I hope she fought him and left her mark on him!!

LE said there was glass in the condo parking lot, but could not say DEFINITELY it was from the victim's car. It sounded to me they THOUGHT it was, but it needs to be tested to compare the glass properties.

fwiw and JMHO
fran

PS..... my personal scenario is it was a carjacking from her home, they stopped for gas and didn't get very much, but a few minutes later they realized they could get cash so stopped at the second location and MAY have used her to go inside a quick stop(?) and got cash back. imho, fran

PPS...the husband is devastated, imho.

I have to say I really don understand why anyone still suspects her husband. They went too gas station and bought gas, you don't think the police have already a)checks e tape and b) just asked the gas attendants whether it was him??

Yes that's what I recall also. Will try to find a MSM link to verify the reported time the family discovered the vehicle.

Police released a timeline of the investigation:

At 6:45 a.m. Heichel left her apartment at the 700 block of SE Hwy 26 to go to work.
At 7:00 a.m. Heichel was supposed to be at work at Starbucks in East Gresham near Powell and Burnside, approximately five minutes from her home. She did not arrive.
At 9:56 a.m., Heichel's husband called 911 to report her missing.
At 12:30 p.m., friends and family reported that Heichel's ATM card was used at the gas station. Detectives have since verified that the card was used and her vehicle was at the station at 9:14 a.m.
At 1 p.m., family and friends who were looking for Heichel and distributing fliers found her vehicle parked at the WalMart in Wood Village at 23500 NE Sandy. The vehicle's passenger side window had been broken out.

"The passenger side window was busted out, the back seats were down, there was mud on her tires, which it wasn't that way the night before," said Clint Heichel.
