I keep thinking about the 2 stops for gas. Do we know how much was purchased each time? I wonder if he stopped the 1st time, and being nervous only purchased a small amount because he just wanted to get out if there. Then he realizes it may not be enough to go and get back to wherever he is trying to take her. He had already stopped once without her making an attempt to get help or flee, so he may have felt comfortable enough to stop again with her still in the car.

re: the question about their faith. someone who commented on a news article i read online who knew them stated they are JWs. i don't have a link to that though.

I have been trying to keep up with Whitney's disappearance.

What was said at the press conference?

I hope that Whitney is okay. Her poor family!

Members transcribed the PC. Just look back in the last 6 or so pgs.

no, but he didn't go out with her to her mom's that night. so did he see it when she got home, and then did he walk her out to her car that morning at 6:45?

if (big if) the glass in the apartment's parking lot was from her car, he would've seen a shattered window then too?

again this could simply be a case of a reporter mincing his words...wouldn't be the first time...
yes, most likely a case of us only hearing a snippet of the information. What is important is that he says it wasn't there before.. which means it was new.. which means the car drove somewhere to get into the mud and hopefully they can use it to find whomever disappeared Whitney.

Surfie found it at the link above.

Just a matter of timing. Initially the family found her car at Walmart, then LE reviewed Walmart video and gave the exact time it was dropped off.

So that means he had over 2 hours to go back somewhere (after the gas) and dump her and bring the truck . Let's hope she escaped according to that FB comment yesterday.

Even if she had escaped, he would have picked up his car/truck from Walmart and be back to hunt her. In that case, it doesn't seem such a random act and probably knows her before unless it is a random act -- 1) a truck driver (or 2) a person who came to buy a car from the auction close by to Walmart) or there are more preps involved in which case it is not random and planned well.

I think the 1st time he stopped for a gas, he was afraid and he just pumped very little and went back to the another place to pump more. Ofcourse he can't use his creditcard or cash because that would too dangerous for him (because of Whitney's Ford Explorer) and he has to use Whitney's cc.

Also, I believe that after he parked the car at the Walmart, he went to some fast-food restaurant or some shopping or the auction close-by. They should review all the videos but it would be difficult to conclude who it was unless they have a footage earlier and he did not change his appearance/dress.

According to the Presser and News Reports: Her For Explorer was spotted at two places. So it would mean, he took her to first place say Dogde Park and then came back to fill the gas-tank and took her to Larch Mountain and finally dumped her Ford Exp. at the Walmart. May be he was supposed to leave her unharmed after the gas-station but instead changed his mind.

I have to wonder if the second purchase wasn't a different car. Maybe the abductor passed the card to throw off the trail, not knowing who had it would use it again so soon.

There are a lot of different scenarios, and I'll apologize for not being caught up. But do we know she was in the car during the first gas purchase?

The multiple stops for gas could be explained by the stations in question either not offering additional cash withdrawals or limited withdrawals on debit card purchases.

Quite possible but only idiots would use that free c/card if they found lying somewhere.

Is Dodge Park on the way to Larch Mountain or vice-versa?

I can look on a map, but would like to hear from a local? Also, what would you do on Larch Mountain? Hike, camp, fish?

I believe it was the 1st gas purchase where the attendant said she was in the passenger seat. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong and that was the 2nd stop.....

I just said this morning, I thought it was odd that LE was not substantiating the other two atm attempts/use, only the first. Clint told us about the other activity, after he looked at their online banking. He would know and I'm sure he shared that info with LE. It's odd, IMO.

But maybe there is video of the perp and LE does not want to alert them :waitasec:

I'm wondering if the person who did this ether had been on Larch Mountain before or knew the area.
