Oh my gawsh - y'all have rocked me to my core. So incredibly grateful - who hasn't wondered about this young lady and her child, who they were, where they came from, why there were no answers? Just not enough good I can say for the work you all do ... it's a sacred thing and I'm am just so humbled by it all ... so grateful you all were inspired to this mission. Take care of yourselves, I'm sure it must get overhelming at times. Peace.

The article lists his name correctly, the post on Websleuths has a typo and we have corrected it! Thanks for catching it.
I am his girlfriend so I notice anything that might have given me hope it was just mistaken identity. Thank you to everyone who helped bring him home and give his family friends and loved ones a little peace. When you have a loved one missing it's the fear of the unknown that gets to you the most. Now we know

On DNA Day 2025, we celebrate a journey that began with the first draft of the human genome and continues today with every case we help solve through advanced forensic genomics. Some of the same scientists who helped shape early genome tech now drive innovation at Othram, building tools and platforms to bring answers to even the coldest cases. This DNA Day, we honor where we started — and recommit to what’s ahead: justice for everyone, everywhere.

And for some fun, please check out this new visualization tool we are working on!

We would love the feedback!

In March 2024, skeletal remains were found hidden under a pile of leaves in Natchez, Mississippi. No one knows who he is. No one has claimed him. Technology can identify him and funding is the only thing standing between this man and his name. Help us fund the case and share this case with others!

Identifying human remains restores dignity, closes investigations, and frees critical resources — no matter the cause of death. In our latest post, we explore why it’s time to rethink the “homicide nexus” in forensic genetic genealogy policy.

Is this one of the first Polynesian Does you've identified? Just curious, as my stepfather was from Aitutaki.

Honored that Othram could assist the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office in identifying a 1996 homicide victim as Daniel Thomas Halloran. Daniel is another victim of Herb Baumeister.

I believe they had 5 different cases they were working. I think i dived more into it on the HB thread.

Idk if they've found more remains belonging to UIDs since then
3 or 4 of them have been identified.

The DNA solves post says there were as many as 12 victims out there. 10 have been identified
