If I were the defense team, I'd be sweating bullets right now. The whole crux of it is that JB is worried that the PI will disclose to LE privileged information re: the location of the remains. This tells me one thing:

Casey told JB where she dumped the body sometime before November!

I'm imagining that the PI went there to videotape the location to see if the bag/remains were easily spotted from the road. I'd be willing to bet that all that can be seen is vegetation and they probably all thought they were safe from the body being discovered.. I also think this information got back to GA/CA/LA and they decided to keep quiet about it causing MN to quit being the A's attorney. Now it's making sense about GA/CA/LA wanting immunity. It also explains why LA's attorney is going on national TV talking about the possibility of charges being filed. They knew it was coming and the PI video was the final piece of the puzzle. When the feces does hit the rotating air machine look for everyone to be throwing each other under the bus.

As always...MOO

Just when you don't think things can possibly get any stranger with this case, they do! :bang: When the meter reader first came forward at the press conference, his lawyer said they would be releasing more information about his experience in August and in December. I think now would be a great time for him to come forward and clear some of these questions up. This new development with a video of the area is going to be like gasoline on a wildfire for the defense.

The meter man lawyered up to protect himself. He was smart to do that.

But the question there is: to protect himself from what?

He couldn't collect it anyway as he's a County employee. He was supposedly trying to be a good citizen. I can't tell who is pro and who is anti anymore.

I have wondered if he is a county employee and therefore inelligible for the reward then why would he have even bothered with calling the Crime Stoppers tip line since the only POSSIBLE motivation for calling THAT line as opposed to LE would BE the reward?

I think it's easy for people who have never had to deal with someone like
this to sit back and judge!
In fact I would almost bet all those who blame George and Cindy for not
doing anything sooner do not have grandchildren or a daughter like Casey!

Have you ever cried every waking second for over a week straight because
your daughter took your grand kids and you have NO clue where they are
and IF they are being taken care of?

I have! And it sucks!
I would much rather put up with a daughter who may take advantage of me
JUST to know that my grandchildren are taken care of!
Especially when the police sit in your house and tell you that you can do
NOTHING when they choose to leave at 1 am because they don't like your rules!
Walk a day in someone else's shoes and you just MAY understand WHY
George and Cindy did what they did!

I feel sorry for them... I imagine the what IF's kill them at night!

I think they did every bit of it for Caylee!

I'm very sorry for your situation but you have to understand that the Anthonys are a rare breed. They are not the type of people we see on a daily basis, their reasoning and actions are foreign to most people.
Early on when Cindy did her cameos, she wanted the world to know first and foremost that she had not eaten or slept.........how freaking weird is that? I could use hundreds of examples, but these people are only interested in themselves. Period.

Work product protected by attorney/client privilege is not admissable as evidence by the State.

The meter man saw the bag in August. Therefore, he knew exactly where it was?

The central question is: How could he see what LE could not find even though he was there to point it out to them?
The one account I read when this came out last week was that when the deputy showed up the meter man pointed where he say it and started into the woods but the deputy said no you stay out and I'll go in. when the deputy started in he encountered a snake and stopped and went back out. he never even made it to the spot. about that time the female deputy showed up to see if he needed help and the male deputy said no I looked and didn't see anything. maybe embaressed that he was scared off by snake and didn't even go all the way in? wish I could remember which article or news I saw that on, but I can't. anyway that makes sense to me and it will all come out soon. sounds like the male deputy was WAY negligent and needs to be let go, but guess we'll find out for sure soon.

To protect himself from being thrown under the bus by the A's and their attorneys.

That and the sad state our fellow Americans feel we are in. "If you find a body, you are certain you will be considered a suspect." (Which is happening on this board, but not by LE as Mr. Kronk probably feared.) Sad.

I'm not getting your logic here. He's still a county employee, no matter what, or which phone line he called.

No one is talking about trying to get it into evidence, only that LE want to talk to this guy to see why he was there, when he was there and who told him to go there. No need to put the cart before the horse.

To protect himself from being thrown under the bus by the A's and their attorneys.

The meter man does not have to speak to the defense ahead of trial. So that does not compute. And, other to to recommend he take the fifth, his attorney can't protect him once he takes the witness stand.

As best I know, that's urban legend, because LE has refused to take a position on exactly what happened.

Work product protected by attorney/client privilege is not admissable as evidence by the State.

The PI stopped working for JB on 10/1 and this tape was made in November. The tape is not work product. The information on where to tape may have been given from client to attorney but is not subject to privilege. Once he was told where she dumped the body he was obliged to step down. He did not and has opened himself to a world of poo poo.

Legal beagles, please correct me if I'm wrong.

The defense would not have to talk to him to throw him under the bus.

If the defense does not need him to talk to them in order to (as you say) "throw him under the bus", then his lawyer could not protect him from the defense.

As such, exactly how are you envisioning the defense throwing the meter man under the bus ahead of him taking the witness stand?

oh lets see by trying to question just "who the mm is", trying to say he was somehow connected to the invisable nanny, yada yada yada....but we stray....this is not the mm thread.

Legal beagles, please correct me if I'm wrong.

As best I know that is opinion, not fact. If true, you're wrong.
