P.I. Says He Videotaped Area Where Caylee Was Later Found

I am reserving judgement on this videotape the PI has until it is released or reviewed by a reputable source. It might very well be the right "area"...but with the underbrush that I saw in the photos....you could not just be standing on the road filming the area and spot the body. You would have to literally walk right up to that very spot where the tent was set up to even hope to see it. I mean you would have to be right up on top of it to really see it. I am doubtful this video will be that close to where the body was.

I guess my other question is, why would someone be filming themselves performing a search through the dense woods anyway? I am waiting to hear why he was there in the first place, and why he wanted to film it.

Horrible and hard to believe. But if you were honesty faced with the facts they were facing. . . . . revealing what they knew would hurt their daughter. Caylee was already dead and had been for a while nothing was going to change that. Hard to believe I know. GA & CA may not have known, but I feel pretty strongly that Baez did and unfortunately maybe LA.

Remember in November how bad CA looked in a couple of interviews? I was shocked at the difference in her appearance leading me to believe something major had happened. MN quit and MB said the Anthonys had a (devastating?) week. Maybe the PI found out where Caylee was while working for JB. Maybe this info was relayed to the Anthonys in Nov. They planned a news conference concerning the Caylee look alike photo taken in the mall. It was canceled and MN quit. This would be around the same time the PI shot the video. If the Anthonys found out where Caylee was they could not go to the site. Did the PI film it to show the Anthonys?

I agree. This is very reminiscent of the phychic's claims of a video taken on Aug. 11.

I would be so grateful if you could find the 8/12/08 phone call where Roy K says the color of the bag. This has bothered me since I first heard the phone call.

The Anthony's didn't love Caylee enough to keep her safe and they didn't love her more than KC. CA must save KC at all costs. IF CA had loved Caylee enough she would NEVER have let KC take her off at nite to spend the nite in various boyfriends beds, laying around on couches at parties where there was booze and drugs and who knows what else and sleeping where? In the trunk of the car??? CA didn't care enough about Caylee to find out what sort of life the poor child was leading. Caylee was a VERY abused child. I wish to God someone had called child protective services long ago.

I don't think that's fair. The G & C had no legal right to stop KC from taking her daughter where she chose. They provided for her in every way possible, but they were limited as to what they could do. I am sure KC didn't tell them she was spending the night at men's homes, etc.

I support my sister in those same ways because I really love her daughter. And it is very frustrating to me that I still can not stop my sister from doing stupid crap that endangers the little girl. Matter of fact, I have even called CPS to see what I could do to prevent certain actions and unfortunately, there is not a thing I could do unless I could specifically document the little girl being injured or abused...and I can cite worse things than the Anthony's probably suspected.

While I agree that G & C are and have been trying to save KC, it is unfair to say they didn't love Caylee. They DID love her...very much.

I heard white as well. I remember he said something about a white sign leaning in a log (fallen tree) and that there was something white and round underneath it. If you look at LE's paperwork logging the call it says he reported seeing a gray bag. Not sure where that comes from because it doesn't seem to match the audio of the call.

Ironic, isn't it? They seem to be throwing out outlandish scenarios to defend a suspect who lived on outlandish scenarios. This may be the latest in Defense tactics, "the KC Defense."

ITA..it angers me so that this is what they all were doing while poor Caylee was out there in the woods. She deserved far, far better than this.

The August meeting is a huge embarassment to LE and prosecutors. Prosecutors are going to have to do their best to defuse the insanity of the circumstances before the defense begins their certain no-holds-barred, howitzer bombardment.

I really think you need to go back and listen to the tapes from when the meter reader called in! His first 2 calls he could not even give a good location other than the swamp on Suburban. On his first call he gave the intersection as Goodspring RD... NOT Hopespring. His call on August 13 was a follow up call to inform them he was at the location and available to meet the officer...NOT detective.
OCSO has nothing to be embarassed about they went out on 2 calls without even an exact location and no accurate description of the location other than right by Caylee's house. Perhaps they could have done a better job on August 13 when they went out but I am sure they were wasting many many hours chasing down all the false and misleading information from KC and the Anthony family...which is why they are all facing charges! Can't wait to see them all in handcuffs!

Now this article I find interesting. Although it doesn't mention the videotape, in reading between the lines it appears that Baez believes PI Casey and, I would assume, his partner Hoover (who did the filming) used privileged information in some way. Did Casey A. tell Baez where she put the body?

I think you are correct! maybe she told jb the area and he had the investigator go there and film. later jb showed the footage to kc on his laptop to verify if they we close. maybe they were going to show the video to the state to bargain for a deal if the body was not found by trial or as some kind of leverage. thoughts?

I am wondering why JB wouldn't be thrilled that a video existed of the site that supposedly shows that the body wasn't there in November. Wouldn't that be GOOD for the defense? Of course it would. It seems like he should be happy at that thought. But instead he seems panicked and is rushing to get in there and make sure they don't "release any privileged information". They haven't been working for him for quite a while from what I understand. So just what is he thinking they will say that would be privileged? The only thing that I can think of is that Casey said something that lead them there.

The officer would not have been shooting willy nilly. Snakes are not that hard to shoot. We have water moccasins and my boys and nephews have shot and killed them since they were about 5 years old with pellet guns.

I'm sure that his superiors would have been understanding about the shooting of a couple of snakes if it meant finding Caylee's body. Because this guy didn't look farther, eviedence that was contained in the bag-fingerprints and who knows what else-may have been lost because the bag tore and the contents were exposed to the elements. If he were my employee, he'd be looking for a job.

Question:

How do we know that this PI shot video in this exact location?

sorry, still don't think any cop is going to start shooting at snakes on the ground or in the water, a crocodile maybe, but only if it had one of them by the leg.

regarding the part i bolded, hindsight is 20/20, isn't it?
there has to be a reason LE weren't really taking this guy seriously, maybe because he couldn't pin down an exact location, get the street name correct, i don't know..but i don't think LE are at fault here.
