For sure no other choice. Wow - people are delusional!!
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree-- having a mother with this type of thought process begets a son who murders two people---what a surprise!

Is that y his face looks like this
In this photo from the Yahoo link :

DC 3c.JPG

There is a small area of abrasion on his scalp ?
Boo hoo, cry me a river.

Also from the above link :

The corrections officer on duty at the guard tower during the escape, an 18-year veteran, was found to have had his personal cellphone on him at the time of the escape, in violation of prison policy, and was fired.

It was the second time this year an inmate escaped from the Chester County Prison using the same route. In May, authorities say 30-year-old Igor Bolte made it across the roof and cleared the prison only to be captured minutes later a half-mile away from the facility. Razor wire was installed following Bolte’s brief time as a fugitive but did not stop Cavalcante’s escape, which follows a string of Keystone State jailbreaks this year.
Red emphasis mine.
Holy crapola.

That jail needs a huge upgrade.
My goodness.
Omo.

I don't think the issue is with them taking a picture to prove they have the guy, more so posing him in the middle of a group of 50 guys like they won the Super Bowl. JMO
He is a snake he can change his look he has 3 times

I am puzzled by where the blood on his face shown in this image came from, unless the K9 who initially got him bit him on the head, or law enforcement were none too gentle taking him into custody. Or maybe this is, as someone else suggested, photoshopped?
Head wounds bleed profusely due to the fact that the scalp has so many blood vessels close to the surface of the skin. JMO

Agreed. ^^^

In some pics, he has what appears to be two small streams of blood coming from the top of his head where the K9 did his job.
In another pic, it looks smeared around his face.

Also agreed that it's unfortunate optics.
This is one dangerous evil perp, he deserves zero sympathy.
So don't elicit any !
Omo.

I don't understand the point you're making?
I think they meant, as in --- Shaving his face and growing out his hair, etc. ?
Plus he is a small-ish dude, so he can fit into most clothing including but not limited to women's garments or whatever he grabbed as a disguise ?

It looks smeared on his face because they were wiping his face off with a towel. You can see it in one of the video clips.

Please forgive my ignorance:

What expertise would Customs & Border Patrol tactical team have in apprehending a little guy hidden in a woodpile?
Tracking.

So then ‘the point’ is they needed the group photo to prove what he looked like in that moment, just in case he shapeshifted (or something) immediately thereafter?

I understand what you're saying.
It was a cluster from the get go.
Starting with the prison escape.
Like I referenced in my previous comment, I don't think LE are the problem.
But, unfortunate optics as in too self-congratulatory ?
The last thing anyone wants is to elicit any sympathy for the devil, so to speak; aka bad optics.
I.e., this could have been ended sooner and DC apprehended faster ?

Omo.

The K9 is the main hero here !
I generally tend to think humility goes a lot longer way than does pride - and particularly in those who employ force with the authority of the state; however, I'm forgiving of the optics given every man in that photo was taking his life in his hands going in after this armed, twice-murderous fugitive AND they managed to capture him alive. I'm certain that is a complete turnaround from the way they all felt going in, with the outcome yet uncertain.

Thx for clarifying.

I think a group photo of the team without the perp in it wouldn't have caused a stir. To me, it brings up images of hunters with big-game prey. Not a good look when it's a person who was caught. But, tbh, in the whole big picture, I am not particularly upset and just hope "best practices" leads other LE teams away from similar photo shoots. jmo

Need proof that reptilians really do exist.

Bolding mine.
That's also true !
Well from reading various news outlets the msm is certainly going to swing it 'their' way.

I am just saying I don't want anyone feeling sorry for this weasel.
Graphic :

Probably the last thing those kids heard from their mom was her screaming or her cries for help, and they couldn't do anything.
Ugh !
Omo.
