Found Safe PA - Enci “Aubrey” Wu, 14, last seen leaving her house in Allentown on 10 January 2025

Other than the fact that it makes it a federal crime (which is just a different jurisdiction, not necessarily more serious), I don't see how "crossing state lines" made the situation any worse or better. The Delaware is practically a creek between Easton and Phillipsburg. It probably took 5 minutes to drive there. If they drove down and crossed the Ben Franklin Bridge, that'd be one thing.

This is so frustrating. Her statement made it clear she spoke with law enforcement without counsel almost a dozen times and consented to a lot of searches voluntarily. It’s pretty obvious she didn’t put the information in the statement the family claims is missing because LE asked her not to. This witch hunt and harassment campaign against one woman who is completely cooperating with LE is derailing the entire effort to find this child. And now there are criminal charges for the harassment that will further distract from finding this poor girl and making sure she’s safe.

Also, the woman in question is 77 years old!

IMO the lawyers' comment that "noticeably absent from the statement is any explanation as to why Ms. Fenstermacher transported our clients' minor child across state lines to a dog show in New Jersey" borders on the bizarre. It makes it sound as if she violated the Mann Act. And obviously, her limited comments to a newspaper are not a formal 'statement'. Personally, I think her not detailing every second of her encounter with the teen to the general public is a positive, not a negative. Giving the family information about this interaction is the job of LE, as they see fit. IMO.

She was wearing a hoodie I think.

Could there have been someone with the woman who looked suspicious?

How would LE know who the woman was or where she lived? I wonder if Aubrey might have said something to the woman that prompted her to call LE. Which seemingly would be a good thing.

And yet, instead the cops search the woman's home. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

dog shows attract people from different states- wonder if she hitched a ride (or hid in a trailer?) with some dog show people... a bit odd but just a thought. I am not sure most people would just let a stranger ride with them, but it might depend on what sort of explanation (or story) she could provide and if they thought she was a bit older. It seems that she did used to talk to the "unknown" boy friend every day and when her parents confiscated her phones, she was upset and he knew immediately that something was wrong.

I just stumbled upon this case on Facebook.
Sharing a video of step dad at a school board meeting. Much more detail if you give it a listen. My heart goes out to Aubrey’s parents.

and her.... they did not believe her.... this is reminding me of another asian girl who fought with her parents left and was found in the desert... cannot find a news link and she was on WS

Trying to find a listing of a "dog show" in Phillipsburg in mid January. Only finding a town rabies clinic and this mall event for "dog athletes:" https://www.instagram.com/cherrybrookpets/reel/C149wFoudhH/g

(I did find an old (2017) on line listing for FF about an agility dog, but I would rather not post it since she has had problems with harassment but it does kind of verify that the dog show connection occurred IMO)

I don't know if any. (The mall is piles of gravel, and a Kohl's.) When I googled it all results were for the Westminster show.

Jennaleah Hin

In that case, I found it exceptionally strange that it was her bio dad who first said that she died by self-inflicted gunshot. The police were very tight-lipped about any info.

I'm sorry, but reading these posts feels as if I've just taken a trip to Oz. Who is Jennaleah Hin and how does she fit into Aubrey's story?
She was a 17-year-old Asian girl in Las Vegas who, after a huge argument with her mother and step-father, left the house and was later found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

I don't know how the parallels shake out, only that a user said this case reminded them of Hin's case. Personally, I don't think there's enough coherent information to make any conclusions.

Like, why is the stepfather asserting (with such confidence) that this woman transported Aubrey to a state fair to the point where he was temporarily detained for online harassment?

I can’t believe that it has been over 3 months since I started this thread. I really thought she ran away and would be found pretty quickly… but it’s not how it’s gone. I pray she is safe 💜

Just yesterday, another local 16 year old girl left her residence and is now missing, like an hour south of where Aubrey was last seen. Sigh.
