It is definitely a junkyard and not a used car dealership, where the vehicles would be locked? It is huge and stretches to the other side of the highway too. Very, very worrying because there are a lot of vehicles with a lot of trunks there.

I can't see the settlement ponds mentioned earlier, but I noticed a creek off to the right but I could not trace it back all the way to the park. Do you know if it runs anywhere near, and how deep/fast/overgrown it is if so?

Yikes - that photo is very sobering. And a very frightening thought. Man...

Praying this has a better ending than seems likely.

thanks for the link mamajo.
I believe holly was abducted

There is another article too that I read early on, that quotes police clearly saying they are not treating or classifying (can't recall which) Olly's disappearance as an abduction.

Now I am thinking that this was something said by a detective and it is purely a technical thing - maybe if someone is taken by force they classify it as a kidnap, or if they suspect foul play they classify it as potential homicide, so they can call on homicide squad resources?

I think at the time, the detective perhaps didn't realise the confusion it could lead to for Joe public - but if that's the case, I wish they could clarify now.

Ya know I don't think they can call it an abduction unless someone saw her abducted. If they saw it they would have an idea of who she was with and what kind of car they are in! JMO

I woke up last night thinking how important it is to get Holly's missing posters out and about, before any witnesses forget something they may have seen. Then I thought, I don't think there is one yet!

Can anyone make one quickly? I can do one, but it may take me a couple of days as I'm slow. Those posters should be up and all around the area of the park and locality by now. We also really need a description of what Holly was last seen wearing, and another up to date photo of her would be good as well. The one that was recently released may be quite old, as Holly looks very young in it.

as of right now, holly's case is classified by LE as missing-endangered which does not mean she wasn't abducted

Has anyone come forward that saw her drop her son off at the bus stop?

I think her son could say she was with him yes!?

Possibly

Wearing a pink winter jacket and blue jeans and black tennis shoes.

I wonder if Holly's son would be able to recall the color top she had on, in case she didn't have her coat? I'm also wondering why all her clothing is listed as 'possibly wearing'. I'd have hoped Holly's closet could have been checked by now, to see if her coat is gone, and wouldn't her son have seen what she was wearing that morning?

LOL I have to say kids wouldn't take notice what you are wearing!

I don't think she was abducted! I feel like someone was angry at her and
things got out of hand! I do not feel this will have a happy ending.

Thanks IHAVENOCLUE for the welcome. I hope it is ok for me to just jump in and add my 2 cents.

I was struck by the fact that newspapers quote neighbors and family as saying that they she think was abducted, while the police have said nothing. The classification may be a technicality, but why has no police said they are looking for suspects? Have police asked the public about vehicles in the area ? From what I have read, it doesn't look like the police are looking for any suspects. Of course, they could be and it is just not being reports. My thoughts are that she is classified missing-endangered because she is believed to be suicidal.

I do also wonder if the mom knows something that she is not telling (perhaps the police told her not to). When you cannot reach someone by phone, do you go to their home right away? I assume that their phone battery is dead or it's turned off. If it's a landline, then I would assume she left for work already or maybes in the shower. Maybe she woke up late and is rushing around to get to work. The cold excuse doesn't make sense because she was bowling the night before.

The mom's story plus the fact that the police have given such little information lead me to believe that they know something more. Whether it's she had major depression or they already know who took her/why she went off but are not telling.

Actually, according to her mother, and articles, it was routine for Holly to take her son to the bus every day.
Her mother said that Holly always went back home, had a cup of coffee and watched the news, before leaving for work.

I couldn't find the article, but I believe that it may have been mentioned. In the meantime, as verified insiders are incredibly valuable for sleuthing online, would you consider starting the process? From what I understand it is pretty painless and easy.

That way perhaps you can confirm some of the finer points of the timeline, like... Was the 7 am time when the mother called, or when she was at the house? How far away did the mother live? When was the boyfriend called, and when were the police notified?

The State Police are actively investigating. They have been questioning people since the first day. They have interviewed a lot of people. I am quite impressed with how seriously they are taking this since the first day. They have searched and collected evidence. They have not stopped, and actually seem to have many different officers working on the case, as multiple officers have questioned people.

I'm not sure if my status would be exactly an insider, but more of a local.
I explained my relationship to a mod when I first registered, and they allowed me to start this thread right away, so I hope they were satisfied, or would ask if not.
As mentioned earlier, I don't have information that could actually be considered "insider", as I only know what most others know who are close to those involved. I don't have confidential information to disclose.

I'm just trying to help, and hoping for any clues to bring Holly home.
Law enforcement has asked the public for help.

Posters are a great idea.

There are posters up already in the local area. Family and friends have been distributing and posting them, and I know they intend to continue.

But, if someone more knowledgeable helps with a more informative poster, we can look for more volunteers to contribute to the effort.

Thank you EVERYONE for all of the ideas and support.

FINDTHEWHY, thank you for your responses. While you may not be an "insider," you certainly have information that I cannot gain from the medias reports.
