Any mention of a reward yet?

This case kind of reminds me a lot of Samantha Koenig. She just disappeared from the coffee stand, but there was surveillance video to let LE know what happened. But LE couldn't ID the person from the video to know who did it.

Fortunately we can't blame the serial killer Israel Keyes for Holly's disappearance, since he took his own life before standing trial for taking Samantha's and several others.

If no reward would have been offered in Samantha's case I doubt Israel would have ever been caught.

A reward is in the works. People are working on putting this together.

It's kind of a shame that people would speak up for money, but not if there is no reward. But if it works...

I am leaning toward her NOT leaving on her own as well. I don't think it was staged either. I have been wondering from the beginning about this time frame though. I just can't see how all of this could have been done so quickly, especially if she had a chance to make a cup of coffee and have a cigarette. IMO

It didn't say anywhere that she had a cigarette. And the coffee could have been prepared already and she just poured it, when the person entered. Now, if she got back from the bus stop at appr. 6.35, and her mother arrived by 7, that gives the person 25 minutes to take her. As she is a petite person I think this is plenty of time.

I believe she knew the perp and they knew her habits. This was preplanned - and went smoothly. Maybe a knife to her throat "If you scream ..." ?

I just wonder WHY? For what purpose was she taken and possibly killed? Revenge? Did she know something about somebody in the park and they were afraid she'd talk? Did she witness something, maybe at the bowling alley? Were there any recent break ins, robberies, theft, rape cases, etc in the area? Are there drug dealers in the area she could have seen?

I'm surprised the media isn't covering the increased police presence and search of the junkyard today. On the fb page they are urging people to call/email local media outlets to get them to cover it.

Rewards don't work. If anyone knows anything, that means they are at least partly guilty. JMO

It has been two weeks...I can't see a good outcome, unless she did leave on her own for some reason, which seems unlikely but has certainly happened before. Not to compare, but I always remember Tiffiany Tehan when a woman disappears, signs of a struggle, and everyone but everyone says she would never leave her child. Women do.

Still...I do not feel she did leave on purpose.

imo they wouldn't take her to the cars.. only because that's a long walk to carry someone on foot, especially not being noticed in a trailer park. I'd be more inclined to think that she would have been put into a car. That's faster and easier.

Yes it is a shame, but some people just don't want to get involved, unless there is a good reason. Apparently money is a good reason.

No one spoke up because of the reward in Samantha's case. The reward money was used as ransom money that Keyes withdrew using Samantha's stolen debit card and he was eventually caught because of his greed.

It was pretty interesting how it all played out if you followed the case on WS from the beginning. Knowing now what LE knew but didn't make public is mind boggling. Finding out Keyes was one of the most diabolical serial killer in American history was even more stunning. If you want to do some reading read though Samantha's threads, you can find them in Keyes forum here on WS. A link to that forum is below.

O/T... but I followed Samantha K's case, too...

It was definitely mind boggling to find the perp was some grifter... a seemingly fairly innocuous "character" in poor Samantha's case...

Who turned out to be the Killer...

And then turned out to be a horrific serial killer..

The LE on that case was impressive...

I think LE in this case already have a good idea of why Holly disappeared, and who is likely to have disappeared her. They are confining their searches to such a small area, it suggests that they believe the possible culprit didn't have enough time to take her far. That would mean they must know where the person was, shortly after Holly disappeared.

So it will be someone they have already spoken to, and checked out that person's alibi, and found a little bit of time 'missing', I think.

I agree...

Once Holly is found... The perp will probably be arrested soon after...

Well...I thought an arrest would follow finding the bodies of Hailey, Katelyn and Dylan, too...and nothing happened. I think if LE knows who a perp is, they no longer wait for a body to find a reason to make an arrest or at least name a suspect. JMO

Le may know who the perp is but they need the evidence to support it to make an arrest.
they need to find Holly or they need someone to confess!
They don't confess unless they get caught. sooo we wait.

I think the same thing happened with Holly Bobo LE knows what happened but they need to find her to make an arrest!

Evidence!

Have the areas where there is water been checked? I noticed only a few ponds/dams/creeks in the area that have public access and are surrounded by trees and parkland ... they are close to where Holly lived.

Did they end up searching the Junkyard on the otherside of the Highway - where the cul-de-sac is?

.

The ponds (or small bodies of water) close to her home (which can be seen on maps) had been brought up earlier in the thread... But I had forgotten about them...

I,too, wonder if they have been searched?

If you are thinking about the Junkyard close by her home... Yes... They did a cursory search when Holly first went missing... Then they went back yesterday to do a more thorough search...

I believe I read upthread that they are continuing the search at the Junkyard (Faust Auto Parts...683 Grange Road) today...

Sleuthers... Please correct me if I am wrong...

I am thinking of Holly...

It just occurred to me...

I don't believe we have heard of any searches of her computer... Right?

I hope (if she has, and uses, a computer) there are clues that may help LE find her....

On the fb page it is said that the searches with volunteers are still under way. They met at Macungie Memorial Park at 1 pm, will go until dark. Doesn't say which areas they are searching.

Thanks, Elainera...

I wonder if the area(s) being searched today are not being publicized...

so as to keep the perp shaking in his/her boots wondering?

Just a thought...
