Kada Scott, age 23, was last seen by her mother at 9:45 pm in the 8300 block of Rodney Street in East Mount Airy on the evening of October 4th, before her 10 pm to 6 am shift at a Chestnut Hill nursing home. She was seen there by coworkers before leaving her shift early. Her car was found by police still in the parking lot of her job and her phone is off and has had no activity. She was reported missing the 5th. Prior to her disappearance, she told her family and friends that an unknown individual had been harassing her by phone. Some key points from the police press conference at the link from above:

- Kada left home (sounds like she lives with her mother) for a 10pm - 6am shift at work.
- She arrived at work and was seen very early in her shift by fellow employee.
- At some point early in her shift she left/disappeared.
- there has been no activity on her social media or her phone in the 4 days since she went missing.
- Kada had driven to work, but her car was located in the parking lot and has been processed by police.
- Kada's cell phone pinged near work, but around the time she disappeared her phone was turned off.
- Police are concerned because Kada had mentioned to others that she was being harassed by phone and her disappearance is very out of character. She is a bubbly, vibrant person.
- LE do not know who was harassing her.
- Kada was active on social media, like other 23 year olds, and police are combing through that.
- police have been canvassing for video from local homes and businesses.

Her mother must be absolutely beside herself. I'm so happy to see that the police are taking this case so seriously that they held a press conference despite no concrete evidence of foul play.

I hope you are safe Kada!

ETA: corrected financial activity to phone activity.

I wanted to get a sense of Kada's work environment and setting at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill. It is located in a nice, treed neighborhood. It looks like a nice, modestly-sized facility from the outside. It's only a 5 minute drive from her home on Rodney St.

It looks like it would be easy for someone to observe her arriving at work and the parking lot is very small. There is a church parking lot directly across the small side street, where someone could park unobserved at that time of night.

There are 2 small parking lots, but as the main entrance is to the right side of the building, I'm guessing that the staff park in the small lot at the corner of Stenton and Abington.

Here's a view of that lot:

Based on what you provided about her work location. It looks like there should be plenty of opportunities for security video footage. That’s a good thing!

I started a thread for Kada a few hours ago. You've had a lot more responses with great info so I'll alert a mod so they can merge them or delete mine. Thanks!
Thanks for starting that thread Grace!

This is terrifying, where is she? Did she have a recent breakup or an obsessed ex? Did she step outside to pick up a Doordash order or something - not likely because she just arrived for her shift and probably ate prior

LE said she was active on social media, but I haven't found much yet other that an old LinkedIn (at UPenn and was interested in the beauty/spa business) and an old skimpy FB from 2017, with nothing of note and no 'friends'. Has anyone else found anything more current for Kada?

I’m an NP and work in several facilities similar to Kada’s place of employment, and I think there is a very good chance there’s some kind of security camera outside (and likely inside, at least in common spaces) the building. For resident and staff safety, almost every senior care community has some sort of video security, although the type and extent can very widely.
I will also say that it’s likely Kada was one of just a few employees working that specific shift, as senior care facilities typically have very few staff members on that third shift especially. Of course some of that may be dependent on the specific care ratios in PA, but it’s definitely much fewer staff than another healthcare setting such as an acute care hospital. I say this because it stuck out to me that LE stated she was seen by another staff member very early in her shift but then seems to have disappeared. In facilities I’m familiar with similar to this, it would be very possible for staff members not to see coworkers for 2+ hours and not necessarily think something is wrong, especially between 10p-4a … therefore making the time window of her disappearance unfortunately pretty big.

I'm following. I just watched the PC. (Police search for woman who went missing in Philadelphia)

Kada strikes me a being conscientious, bright, responsible and has a close solid family. Not someone who would take risks or partake in any sort of questionable lifestyles.
It's alarming. It's been 4 days.
I hope/wish she confided in a friend about those harassing messages, or phone calls, so that they'd have something to go on. But it seems that as of now LE has no direction, unless something can be gleaned from her SM.
She is very attractive, could have a stalker.
I do hope, and expect, that they will check out all the employees at her place of work.....cleaners, kitchen staff, orderlies, gardeners etc.

What I am struck by is the fact that she left her shift early. Why? Did she receive a call to lure her outside? Was she unwell?
Then, she left but her car is still in the parking lot. So something happened outside? Was she taken by whomever?

Or.....Could she actually still be in the building? or on the grounds, an outbuilding?
The entire facility needs to be checked...basement, boiler room, laundry room etc.

Can a stranger enter the facility at night ? surely there's security. any other entry points? delivery dock?
or does this "stranger" work there?

I'd start with the night shift.

In the presser, LE said that she left early in her shift. But how do they know she "left"? How do they know she wasn't "taken"? Or, as you suggest as an alternative, that she wasn't attacked in the facility itself?

We don't know whether foul play was involved or not. I sincerely hope that Kada left on her own and just needed to change things up. But.... there are so many worrying details.
I hope that police can get access to her phone records to figure out who was potentially harassing her. That would be a significant lead.

It's not said if a surveillance camera caught her leaving the building. Did she need to check out, at a desk, in the lobby, with a security person?
Surely there's a camera at the entry/exit.
I understand they are checking local cameras in the immediate area, for Kada, and looking at vehicles if any that time of night.

I read through the MSM facebook story comments on several local outlets.

Found a few interesting comments from locals. One stated it was a small senior assisted living facility and they didn’t think it had cameras. No idea if true, but would make sense as LE seems to be looking for video elsewhere.

LE stated they are scouring her SM and phone records for clues.

They should check all laundry & garbage bins.
