Look forward to learning those details. Nothing has been said about where he worked right?

He doesn’t seem like someone Kada would cross paths with in RL?
Exactly. Does not seem to come from same background let’s say, unless as someone posted up thread, they know each other from childhood. She must have had her defences down to go out at night to meet him. But who knows

The tips which came in after that press conference this morning helped LE find a potential crime scene and the car.

Proves IMO, why LE needs to share information with the public and enlist their help!! Millions of sets of eyes, vs. a handful - over the entire geographical region!!

My thoughts continue to be with Kada’s family.
I agree that there are cases that could benefit from LE providing more information to the public. But I also believe that the public is not always entitled to be provided with all information and that LE, in most cases, knows what information should be released to the public and when AND that they act in good faith when making this decision. IMO, each case must be reviewed/decided on a case-by-case basis.

I still do not get why Kada left work and what could have pushed her to meet King.
I wonder if she knew who was harassing her, and if it was King and she did know, it could be that they met in order to settle whatever dispute or such was going on.

Grays Ferry on map here, it butts right up to the Schuylkill River, it's across the river from Kingsessing:

In Grays Ferry, they have Grays Ferry Crescent, a three-quarter-mile trail segment along the riverfront in the Forgotten Bottom neighborhood. 12.3 acres of meadows and lawn areas, fishing spots, a skate park, it will eventually connect to the Center City segment and points north.

Seeing online that the Crescent is surrounded by industrial and commercial areas and it's not advised to go there solo at night.

If he had the car posted for sale on Facebook Marketplace I wonder if Kada (and possibly other women) were in contact with him about purchasing the car? Kada was borrowing her mom’s car to go to work that night, could she have been looking to buy her own car? Did he lure her outside of her workplace under the guise of checking out the car she may be interested in buying? Could the “harassment” be unrelated or could it have been done by King in order to “throw off” Kada?

I feel your anger. Truly. But it’s almost impossible to prosecute a case when the alleged victim does not cooperate.

An obvious move on the part of the defense would be to demand a jury trial. Well, what jury would convict without a witness?

Hence, the charges are dropped.

I don’t like it, but it happens all of the time.

Moo.
I have heard, and can understand, this argument. BUT….if it is “almost impossible to prosecute a case when the alleged victim does not cooperate”, how are we ever able to prosecute homicides? After all, a deceased person isn’t really able to “cooperate “ with prosecuting a person charged with their murder.

The Gypsy Lane Condos where the car was eventually located are just steps away from my place of employment, and I have driven past them on many occasions. I am positive that there’s a gate at the entrance (one cannot just drive onto the premises) so I am hopeful that there might also be security cameras within the complex that could show who drove the vehicle there and if they were alone of not, or disheveled or calm, etc.

This makes sense to me. Perhaps Kada asked about the car earlier, decided no thanks, he kept harassing her trying to get her to look at it. Maybe even lowering the price until she agreed to look, but she was thrown in the vehicle and kidnapped. I'd like that to be far fetched, but these days it's quite possible.

I'm still hoping for a better outcome.

Might be off topic, but I think I found her TikTok account. It's 1kadaaa, the only post is from November 16, 2024. However, if you look at her reposts, some of them are about relationships. Not implying anything, just interesting, considering how I've noticed not a single mention of her being in a relationship in any of the news articles. (If it was already found, then my apologies, I didn't notice that)

Agreed, this sounds quite possible.

Maybe the idea of a friend of a friend situation, maybe someone that she ran into casually at a party? Was he involved in sports?

Agreed with those on here who are wondering where he worked.

Am wondering if he didn't threaten to make a scene at her workplace and that drew her out where he could maybe brandish a weapon.

I’m wondering one step further if the car a family style vehicle was listed as a ruse to lure in interested females. And he hit the jackpot with Kada and once had her contact details the stalking began
Just my thoughts only

This is really interesting, they think others may be involved in the kidnapping:

What relationship King and Scott had and how long they knew each other is under investigation, Toczylowski said.

“Obviously, they had a connection. They’re going back and forth and they’ve known each other for a short time but I don’t know how long,” Vanore said.

Authorities have been tracking several phone numbers involved in Scott’s case and investigating whether any other individuals were involved with the kidnapping. “All roads at this point lead to” King and “that’s what we’re hoping leads us to” Scott, Toczylowski said.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If others are involved, she may be alive with another individual at some as of yet undisclosed location.

Actually I think it's asked and answered. While there are multiple phone numbers which could suggest multiple people, so far everything is tracking back to him.

It doesn't say that they think others are involved; it says they are investigating it but "all roads at this point lead to King."

What are the different backgrounds that each of Scott & King come from?

The obituaries I referred to upthread mention a family member in Philadelphia. The name of that family member is associated with an address at the Gypsy Lane condos where the car was found and where police say Keon King has family.

It could be as simple as they met on a dating app, exchanged phone numbers, then Kada decided she wasn't interested but he continued contacting and harassing her.

After all, a deceased person isn’t really able to “cooperate “ with prosecuting a person charged with their murder.
In most homicide cases you have the victim in the form of their body and the evidence that points to the perpetrator. It was years before trying a no body homicide was even accepted.
In attempted murders, rapes, and other serious assaults, your living witness is the best evidence you can have. Domestic assaults, especially, often occur in the privacy of the home. The case from last Spring was a domestic violence case as far as we know. We don’t have all the facts from that case. Evidence is usually derived from injuries photographed by LE and/or medical personnel and perhaps a damaged home. Unfortunately, these types of cases turn into a “he said, she said” argument in court especially when you have a good, experienced defense attorney. Lots of times, the victim in a domestic violence case doesn’t show up for court because, sadly, she still loves the person who does this to her. Other times it’s because she is afraid. You don’t know how many hours I have spent trying to support the victim, reassuring her, getting a victim advocate involved, trying to convince her to press charges, trying to convince her to show up in court. It makes you mad and it makes you sad that some sick, violent 🤬🤬🤬 can have such a hold over their victims
In a trial, when the LE officer/detective gets on the stand, all he or she can do is give testimony as to their observations and statements made at the scene. With luck they might have medical records or a nosey neighbor who overheard the argument. But, the fact is, the jury wants to hear from the victim. Why is she not in court if he did these horrible things to her? Is LE railroading this defendant?
So, it all comes down to the evidence. A DA will not pursue a trial unless and until they feel they have enough evidence to obtain a conviction. People often think DA’s drop cases because they want a perfect record of convictions. While that is sometimes true, it is also true that if you try a case that you don’t have enough evidence to prove that the defendant did it and you lose, you can never try them again because of double jeopardy. Sometimes you want to wait and see if you can tighten up the case.
As maddening as our justice system is at times, it’s still the best. It’s just not infallible.
