If the tip came from a female, I think that would narrow down who the tipster was.

There are ways to submit tips online and anonymously. PPD has a website and there is crime stoppers too. On both you can submit anonymously. I imagine phone call tips are recorded in case there’s any info someone misses in the phone call

The charges of conspiracy to commit arson indicate that he arranged for the stolen Hyundai to be torched, also it sounds as if he may have been picked up/dropped off at the School at various times.

No they weren’t searching the area during that time period from my understanding of the timeline.

She was reported missing 10/5. They started searching Awbury Arboretum on 10/10.
Timeline to me sounds like:
10/4 - abduction, murder, parked car at Awbury rec, leave car
10/6 - returns and footage shows someone carrying something from the car with Keon’s phone around that location too (so likely him at least there)
10/7 - car fire set on fire. Unknown to me when the car was towed and compacted.
10/9 - search at a home on 5500 Belmar Terr (I still have no idea what this is connected to. Was it that they figured out who was texting or harassing her, or just his number in general and knew he was one of the last people to contact her? Is this house location even connected to him? Why did they search here)
10/10 - they started searching Awbury Arboretum and from what I remember, it largely had to do with her phone last pinging around the area. I could be wrong about that though
10/15 - Keon king in custody. Anonymous tip sends the police to start searching Ada Lewis
10/18 - anonymous tip sends police back with more info about the location. Kada’s remains found.
** don’t know when the tip came in about the car, but it sounded to me like after Keon was in custody. I think they said something like there was a car fire around 74th and Ogontz related to Keon King. Not positive on that - it was in the presser today so I’d have to go back to listen. But when police went to investigate, the car was gone already and compacted. In the press conference today they do mention that the gold Toyota and black Honda accent are together I think during this time. So it sounds like someone helped him in some way with the fire or getting away from it or something, to me at least.

This is awesome! Just adding that October 15 is when they found the debit card and either iphone case or ipad case ( I keep seeing different reports). So the search at Ada H Lewis provided evidence on that day and Keon King was arrested later that day.

Speculating here but I'm wondering if part of the motive was that Kada represented someone the perp could never have ?

Also guessing that most young ladies would start distancing themselves from him, after seeing his true self.

That's definitely a possibility - IMO at that point they were searching in the hope that they would find her alive, so it's not necessarily that they missed her body the first time as much as it's that they maybe weren't looking for a body

Or it simply wasn't visible/discoverable from anywhere but on top of it.

I suspect they were looking for a body. And probably looking for ground disturbances too. I suspect the grave was concealed in some fashion which is how it got missed.

Well, maybe one of the searchers was the anonymous tipster. Life is different depending on where you live. There is a distrust of LE in many places, fear that if you are associated with something LE will try and pin it on you (the generic you), so no one wants to get "involved" with LE but they are involved with their community. JMO, based on living in many different places growing up. Some of the distrust of LE is rightly deserved for specific areas. Also, JMO.

It sounds like premeditated murder to me since he stole the car the day before he abducted Kada. IMO he stole the car so his own vehicle wouldn’t be connected to the crime. (If true, I hope this may provide some comfort to the young man she went on a date with that night as it would then not appear like that date triggered her murder.)
