He says over the course of one week, they executed 20 search warrants. "We've had open communication with family members, and that's huge because they have a lot of inside information that they provided to us, and that was greatly appreciated."

According to the criminal complaint, family and friends were conducting a search of a property formerly owned by Katlyn's husband, Vincent Harp, in Montour Township Sunday afternoon. That's when the victim's sister discovered a large green metal box along the mountainside.
Troopers say the box had a strong decomposition odor coming from it and was found 180 yards from the edge of a cliff. The box lid was locked with a key master lock. Upon cutting the lock and opening the box, Katlyn's body was discovered.

An autopsy was performed on Monday in Allentown, but forensic pathologist Dr. Christopher Sullivan noted there was no evidence of gunshot wounds, penetrating trauma, such as stab wounds, or fractures to any of the extremity bones.

Given the condition of the body, additional testing, including toxicology tests, will be performed in an effort to determine the cause of death, Reese said. However, because the manner in which Harp's body was found and discarded in the woods, the manner of death has already been determined to be homicide, according to Reese.

According to the affidavit obtained by the TV station, the husband and wife had gotten into a fight on the evening of June 19. Cell phone records placed Vincent Harp in the area where his wife's body was found on June 21, officials said, and blood was found on a UTV sold by Vincent Harp on June 24.

According to charging documents retrieved by WGAL News 8, surveillance video from June 20 shows Vincent driving his vehicle with the same box in the bed of his truck.

So there was blood found on the UTV but no evidence of cut/injury to Katlyn's body. The blood will probably end up being a red herring. Unless he cut himself in the process of disposing of the body.

I am thinking Katlyn was poisoned or strangled. Maybe it was meant to look like an accidental OD but with his prior wife having already passed suddenly he rethought that and so sent himself the "need a brake" text from her phone and hurriedly hid her body on the scene of his former home and crime instead.

OMG, how did I miss this yesterday about how it was Katlyn's sister that made the discovery of her body?? Heartbreaking. I cannot even imagine the horror.

Katlyn Harp's sister reportedly called police, saying she believed she had found her sister's body on property formerly owned by Vincent Harp.

The TV station reported that when crews arrived, they found a green metal box that had a strong decomposing odor coming from it. When the box was cut open, Katlyn Harp's remains were found.

WHP said the box was "on the mountainside, 180 yards from a cliff and just slightly north of Vincent's property."

It was not those Pennsylvania Troopers or local law enforcement who tracked down Harp's body after a nine-day search — but rather her sister, Harper Lane, according to a copy of the criminal complaint filed against Vincent and obtained by PEOPLE.
[snip]
Troopers arrived on the scene and cut the lock to find human remains inside the box which the complaint said they were able to identify because of a tattoo on Harp's body.

I took "no penetrating trauma" to indicate no wounds, head or otherwise that might create blood.
Yes, but that's to the "extremity bones", which doesn't include the head, does it? I thought it was weird to mention that there were no fractures to the extremity bones, because aren't those the arms and legs? So, that doesn't really exclude head trauma, does it? I don't know, I'm confused. English isn't my first/native language either so I might be reading too much into it.

Didn't his first wife die from a drug overdose? It may come down to the blood work we're waiting on. Why mess with something that may have worked the first time around. IMO.

Agree that’s a strong possibility, I wonder if they are able to fast track the toxicology results? Otherwise it’s going to be a bit for results to come back.

Curious about motive. Did he have a life insurance policy on Katlyn?

I wonder if they specifically mentioned the extremity bones because she was located inside a box and thus would likely have to be folded in there IMO

I am thinking poisoning or suffocation/strangulation

Given how long he was able to hide the body I hope the ME is able to discern MOD/COD

I mean nobody dies of natural causes and ends up padlocked in a metal green locker type thingy but I don't want him to be able to say "well I was scared because she's my second young wife to die suddenly and I knew you all would think I killed them both."
