I've got to say i've been rolling over the notion of a Hog farm, even if its small scale in size. They'll eat and digest almost everything that they come into contact with. They cant digest hair very well, and they wouldnt be able to digest fabric, hence the disposal of clothing items. If a body was bucked up crudely, it would make the process easier to quickly distribute amongst hungry hogs, if someone were to sneak into/onto a hog farm to dispose of a body. This was done locally to several individuals in my locality, several years ago.

I remember us discussing this here in WS with Mollie Tibbetts case.
I learned way more than I wanted to about hog farms.
Also wasn't it Robert Pickton or something like that who was labeled the pig farmer killer ?? JUST EWWW
Unfortunately, while I was doing my real time google drive around the places JS drove, I did notice tons of farmland and thought for a brief moment about this.
I need to think about this, but I feel, or just an instinct that he did NOT do this to her.
JMO and instinct.
I think she is buried near the train tracks close to a landmark or in a lake/reservoir near there.

That is actually a good theory considering her clothes were separated from her. I am not sure about if there are hog farms in the area but if there are they usually have lots of hogs on them.

I have been thinking similary like something like that. Maybe he sunk her in some water somewhere with weights and did not want any chance of clothing to surface and float to the bank of some water spot he may have chosen.

No words can be written or spoken to bring this lovely young woman back to this ugly old world.

Certainly she is with her "source", God, Savior. To her family I send heartfelt sorrow, and may their community help them through this.

This is probably the reality, but I want Linda found. My heart is broken.

Weighted body,No clothes, I agree, we all probably are thinking similar regarding bodies of water. I've thought about possibilities of being put into concrete as well, in one piece or several pieces. Im still quite suspicious of the vehicle fire, so generally I think dismemberment. So the hogs might be far fetched, but you know what, a hungry hog can consume from 2 - 4 lbs of uncooked flesh and bone within a ten minute time frame apparently, as gruesome as that sounds and it would be extremely unfortunate. She must be well hidden where ever she is, I once found a dead fawn, and the wasps in the summertime completely ate all the flesh within 48 hrs, they even cleaned out the skull cavity. I hope that she will actually be found, and brought home to her lands, not physically lost for ever.

Perps sometimes think along these lines that if they can get animals to consume all the evidence then it makes it disappear for them which is their goal. Its not real common but there are cases.

It is highly suspected in the Brittanee Drexel case that her body may have been disposed of in an alligator pond. I dont think PA has the climate for alligators so at least we can rule that out. But hog farm disposal is a possibility if he knew of a hog farm he could sneak on.

Link and exerpt about Brittanee's case.

and with that thought in mind, I am going to bed for the night.
Prayers to Linda's family and friends and to the searchers (including our own WS searchers)
I have been working OT from home and need some sleep.
I pray, as Linda's family has asked us to do, that JS will tell where Linda is or that she is found soon, preferably alive but either way, she needs to be found and home for her family.

I wish we had a sad face with tears emoji here in WS.

Additionally, I just went on Google Maps past (JS) the apartment building as I have done before and I noticed a vehicle parked where the car fire was which I also noticed before. I believe the silver colored vehicle is the alleged girlfriend's car but for some unknown reason it looks gold in the fire picture. Maybe the sun hitting it, the reflection of the flames. Who knows ?

The gold vehicle looks A LOT like a Chrysler Pacifica! Like circa 2007-ish. Especially the taillights. MOO.

I realize the rest of you have moved on from the discussion about the car but I couldn't let it go. First, I have lost track of who brought up the car fire (JJ1492?) but thank you for excellent sleuthing. Ditto to Curiosity1234 for finding the same car on Google Street View and for Unapologetic... for the make and model.

Putting the photos side by side I have to conclude what you already did. The car was a Chrysler Pacifica and the photo in Google Street View is the same car that was burned. I don't know where the information came from that it was JS's girlfriend's car but if that is true it is 100% certain it was burned to cover up or to misdirect LE. A car fire at the kidnapper's house less than 2 weeks after the kidnapping, coincidence? No way.

Interesting pig farm speculation. I don’t know if there are pig farms in that area or not.

Several of my friends are hog farmers, and I’ve never been in their barns. I’ve smelled them, but... At least on the hog farms with which I’m familiar, the animals aren’t outside and wouldn’t be very accessible to someone who could creep in undetected. I’m sure there are some farmers who have a few hogs in a muddy barnyard here and there, but the bigger operations are usually pretty contained. JMO

I have been interested in "Re-entry" of the work force for felons as I had a friend years ago who ran an Employment agency and most applicants were felons.
I helped him with payroll and some office duties as a side job and was always curious about how new applicants progressed through the process and was able to witness a few positive outcomes and quite a few negative outcomes. :(

I would imagine that JS would also have a Probation officer ?????
I know where I live, they assign a PO to a new released felon/ parolee so I wonder what his PO would have to say also.
JMO

JS most likely had a Parole Officer. And, yes, it would be very interesting to learn what that PO's progress notes indicated. Were there signs that JS's behavior was beginning to change? Was JS adhering to the terms set forth by the court after his release? Many times a person on either parole or probation is unable to leave the county where they reside without approval from the court. I would venture to guess that this rotten human being (more like a monster), will serve a very, very long sentence on the kidnapping charge alone- without the possibility of parole.

I originally mentioned my curiosity with Dutchland, Inc., because employers typically see this person on a daily basis (outside of weekends/PTO). Where as a PO normally sees the offender once a week (to start- the number of visits reduce with time). I am also interested to learn if JS established any friendships with other employees. Did he mention his "dark desires" to anyone he trusted? In hindsight, there always appears to be some sort of sign (personality changes, eating or sleeping habits, increase in use of drugs or alcohol, changes in relationships, etc). There had to be something different in his behavior. And shame on any person who didn't report known information to either his PO or LE.

My thoughts are with all that knew and loved Linda. And those who are searching to bring her home.

How common is the name Stoltzfoos/Stoltzfus in that area?

It strikes me as odd that JS drives by Stoltzfus Feed store everyday to go to work and he buries the clothes a mile from Stoltzfus Taxidermy and only a couple more miles from Stoltzfus Meats. Could it be he had some bad encounter with a Stoltzfus/foos and was out for revenge? Or is looking for a crime pattern in Lancaster County near a Stoltzfoos/fus like looking for patterns of crimes near a McDonalds in any American city?

In order for JS to bury Linda that day he would have needed a shovel and more time than two hours or less.
If he had a shovel in his car, that makes her abduction potentially premeditated.
If he didn't have a shovel, he may have dumped her somewhere.
He was only able to dig down eight inches to bury her items of clothing; that sounds like hands, not shovel.

I agree with curiousquiet1, the vehicle fire seems really suspicious

Also, is there a timeline listed anywhere?

It is in fact that common. There several names you will find everywhere here: "Miller, Stoltzfus, Yoder"

It is in fact that common. There several names you will find everywhere in the mennonite/Amish communities here: "Miller, Stoltzfus, Yoder" - many close relations in these communities and that's partly why the "third cousin" story by LNP was clickbait sensationalism.

Exactly! Every time that I have been at the Retreat, no one has been present. Perhaps, just walk around and look for a security breach. I know a family that can get you inside.

Going to this spot in an hour. It looks really really interesting on Google Earth.
