Linda was tall but she’s thin. That vehicle had nothing to do with this case. I do believe she was moved though.

Totally appears he was going to the Gap area, maybe his work place who knows. The cell pings and witnesses tell a story we just need to figure that out.

Sounds like 2007 rio has "split-folding rear seatbacks" so it might accomadate a long object ?

Thank you, very kind of you. I guess that’s why I’m drawn to this case, it’s close where I live and my heart is just broken for the family. Not that the circumstances were anything alike with my son but, that being missing and not knowing is unsettling to say the least.

Rigor would have passed by the 23rd and I hate to say it but we have heard of people being found in suitcases.

Just throwing this out there randomly....

And just to add. If they obtain a warrant to confiscate your phone, they need a separate warrant to search the contents.

If someone willingly gives LE their phone, or the pictures saved on it, is a warrant still needed? I have followed cases where an individual forwarded photos on their phone or home surveillance recordings to LE (e-mail tip line, I believe)? I don't believe I've ever thought about the need for a warrant in this ^ type of scenario.

No. You can give them your phone, just like you can let LE enter and search your home without a warrant.

If JS was released from prison in Feb 2019....could there be more victims?? Scary thought!! Anymore missing girls in the area?
Just jumping off your post...

I wonder if LE has talked to local prostitutes...

perhaps JS was visiting prostitutes (since his release from prison)....
And perhaps he has a history of elevated violence during this time...

This may somewhat explain his escalation from armed robbery to this heinous crime towards LS?

additionally... Perhaps prostitutes are more hesitant to call LE when confronted with violent behaviors from men
As females in other walks of life?
Therefore there has been little to no complaints recorded?

Just some thoughts...

It’s actually a Websleuths policy not to debate the veracity of calling in tips on the thread; but to simply call in said tip.

the theory behind this policy, is that if a criminal (or in this case, a criminal’s potential accomplice, as the criminal is behind bars) is reading the thread, which has been known to happen from time to time; that person can potentially then beat feet and go to the crime scene and remove evidence, etc.

this isn’t the first, and probably won’t be the last time on WS, as people are nervous of ‘making a big deal’ out of leads less they turn out to be embarrassing duds; but better to ask law enforcement earlier, rather than debate the pros and cons with us until late. :)

Fotis Dulos willingly handed the police his phone when they requested it, but they couldn’t access the phone for its data until they got a warrant. The only thing they did prior to getting the warrant was to put it in “airplane mode” so data couldn’t be removed via another device. PA law might different than that of CT, but I don’t think so in this particular regard.

Smoker was said to have two girlfriends. As per another site, he quit seeing one of them around Fathers Day and would only send an occasional text. She suspected he was seeing someone else and had planned to break up with him.
BBM
Just bouncing off the 2* girlfriends.
Fathers Day was when Smoker abducted Linda.
Perhaps ex girlfriend only THINKS he had another girlfriend because, unknown to her, he was busy taking Linda, Hiding her, burying clothes, etc.

UPDATED MOD NOTE:
If you are missing some of your posts, it is because it was determined the posts violated the Websleuths TOS ,aka The Rules, which can be found here: THE RULES. Please refer to these periodically to better understand the standards of posting as a member of Websleuths.

Here is a overview of specific reasons many posts on this thread have been removed. This is a refresher for most longtime members, and an FYI for newer ones.

- If you can’t link it to MSM (MainStream Media article) or an LE statement, you CANNOT POST it as fact. Saying something like “I can’t remember where I saw it but I read that.....” is a violation of TOS if you do not provide an MSM link.

- The ONLY people who may be sleuthed and discussed are the victim and the named and/or arrested suspect(s). DO NOT discuss family members, friends, neighbors etc. UNLESS they have been named and quoted in MSM, and ONLY what is printed in MSM about them in MSM may be discussed.

- Information from social media such as Facebook and Twitter may not be brought to the thread or discussed here, unless it is an official LE or MSM page.

- It is a violation of TOS to discuss tips that should be/have been reported to LE. There are number of liabilities involved in doing so, which is why it is not permitted on Websleuths.

- It is a violation of TOS to make a post stating you are leaving Websleuths. It derails the thread and is not permitted.

- Bickering and personalizing comments to and calling out other members is a TOS violation.

FYI - There is a Private Message function on Websleuths that allows discussion of the topics that may not be brought to the public threads because of TOS violations. Private messages are exactly that, and are not subject to the same restrictions. However, please DO NOT discuss sending Private messages while posting on the public thread because THAT is a violation of TOS.

It may seem like there are many rules at Websleuths, and we are proud of that. There are countless other sites on the internet where “anything goes”, and all are free to post there. Websleuths is not that kind of forum. We hold ourselves to a higher standard.

THANK YOU for your continuing efforts to post as respectful and responsible members of Websleuths. We owe that to the victims and families we are here to support. Thread has now reopened for posting within the TOS.

Faithfully,
CocoChanel

Maybe JS quickly dumped the body after abduction then later moved it to a better spot using the Pacifica. A larger vehicle like a Pacifica might be needed to move a 5'10'' body. Then he torches it. Just my opinion.
I am wondering the same thing, which is why the other vehicle had a "convenient " car fire.

That could very well be, but why torch one car but not the one that many would have, and did see Linda in? Why destroy evidence in only one car?
I would think 5'10" body would fit just fine in any car with the front seat reclined, but I may be wrong.

I agree the fire is too convenient. If someone was trying to hide something they wouldn’t want to attract LE to their location. Also why not burn the Rio.
