Found Deceased PA - Nalani Johnson, 2, Penn Hills Boro, Allegheny County, 31 Aug 2019 *Arrest*

At Sheetz now. They think it’s either a BAI drink or a Juul pod. They see the black writing near the bottom of the object.

Only square drinks I see here are Arizona tea and Alo. Nothing with handles. Cups they sell with handles are not white.

That’s all I got.

I was able to head out to my local Sheetz in the North Hills, and they suggested two pastries wrapped up individually, but couldn’t explain the grasp she had in the pic.

On behalf of the men and women of the Allegheny County Police Department, I extend my deepest sympathies to the family of Nalani Johnson. We are grateful to you for your cooperation and support during the investigation.

We would be remiss if we didn’t also thank all of the members of the public who submitted tips, as well as the concerned citizens and first responders who volunteered their time to assist in the search. Thank you for your caring and commitment.

We continue to ask business owners or private citizens along the Route 22 corridor who have video footage that may be of interest to investigators to please contact the department. The particular time frame for relevant video is from 5:23 PM until 7:25 PM on Saturday. Additionally, anyone who has personal knowledge of Sharena Nancy, or anyone having any information concerning this incident, is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477); callers can remain anonymous. The department can also be reached via its social media sites.

This is not the outcome that any of us would have wished. We will continue to keep the Johnson family in our thoughts.

Same. On the other hand, in was just three hours ago that “reportedly” State Police were no longer involved and was handed over to the FBI.

Everyone keeps saying this. That the father was not admitting that he knew her. Do we know he did not tell police that he had a relationship with her? I’ve seen videos of the grandmother saying it, but not the father. Maybe she didn’t know?
Just curious if there’s a link to that? TIA!

I just saw the video of the grandmother saying it while he was standing next to her. But no nothing said by the father.

I’ve been looking around SM,so many rumors. One thing I did find pretty hinky though is the set up by Nalani’s dad. Odd wording about his daughter being abducted by an Uber/Lyft driver. He insinuated no relationship beyond a ride share in his plea for funds.

This poor baby, my heart is just broken. This is the first case my daughter has followed and she’s having a really hard time with it.

With everything that has come to light thus far, I believe two scenarios are plausible.

1) Nalanis father and Nancy (POI) had an intimate relationship that was not widely public. I think I saw upthread somewhere it mentioned that He didn't have custody of Nalani and only had her for visitation during this time. Nancy probably didnt like the fact that he (Nalanis father) was giving attention to another person (Nalani and possibly her mother for communication regarding the visit) and whatever argument they had,caused Nancy to focus her revenge on Nalani. Nancy doesn't seem like all that great of a mother to have three kids of her own whom she does not have primary custody for. It's odd that the child living in India was born in America and she let her go live with the dad who was deported. And the one child lives in NY with their father. Doesn't seem like Nalani had much interest or capability to care for her own children. To me that indicates some sort of mental health issue. So if she didn't even bond with her own kids, she's likely detached/incapable from having any empathy for her lovers kid and probably viewed Nalani as an impediment. The COD will say a lot about Nancys mindset.

2) Nalanis father has not been named a suspect. So I won't say too much other than, it's possible that there are more details that will later be released to indicate foul play. And we can speculate all sorts of scenarios for this.

Oh for her. SM is brutal and rampant. I usually join a couple there, then go down to one quickly then retreat. Here is definitely best and can learn so much from these wonderful WS members. Give your daughter and extra hug from us all.

My take. Nalani was already deceased before Nancy "took" her...as in something happened somewhere else, by the father. They then concocted this story, she took off to drop off the kid, he called 911, yadda yadda...although why she didn't think she would get caught and also why she agreed to be the fall guy...may be misguided loyalty to this man...MOO!!!
