Thank you so much for doing that. That is so thoughtful of you! Please take a photo and share with us if you can.

Is it possible she was promised payment, as someone very on the periphery/unlikely to be named as a suspect (in dad's eyes), to dispose of the body, and that's what they were arguing about? And then when she drove off the dad, for whatever reason (anger or even pre-planned) decided to try to pin it all on her? And then she panicked and came up with her version?

What could their original plan have been as to explaining why Nalani wasn't with them if they were both in on it together? Was Nalanis father paying child support? Did the father just "use" and trick Nancy into getting a dirty deed done?

I’ve been looking around SM,so many rumors. One thing I did find pretty hinky though is the *** set up by Nalani’s dad. Odd wording about his daughter being abducted by an Uber/Lyft driver. He insinuated no relationship beyond a ride share in his plea for funds.

This poor baby, my heart is just broken. This is the first case my daughter has followed and she’s having a really hard time with it.
From the early on news reports, I didn't see anything about the father stating an Uber/Lyft driver took his kid, but rather that the vehicle had both Uber and Lyft stickers/decals on the window. My guess is that the police likely told him not to mention any further connection to the driver at the time, but they did immediately post her vehicle info including plate, so it sounds like the father was actually pretty cooperative from the start. Not saying that he wasn't involved, but one also can't judge the situation by no mention of the relationship going public until later.

I’m located in Pittsburgh. Looking at my older phone alerts, mine came through at 8:10pm.

Also located in area 2 miles from where she was taken. I did not receive my amber alert until 7:45pm. My wife received hers at the same time. Then news broke at 8:15-20 that she was just arrested driving up Rodi Rd. Why wasn’t the alert sent out sooner or better question why did I receive it so late.

...although it does sound like he immediately informed police of his relationship, I don't believe his family knew and per several news articles/releases, they mentioned that the abduction took place during an Uber or ride share ride (depending on the article).

I m trying to wrap my head around what kind of a monster this woman is How can you let your anger out on a precious little child? Especially since she is a mother herself How does she sit there and calmly smoke cigarettes and talk to her husband afterwards????

It’s hard not to smile looking at photos of #NalaniJohnson, the soon to be 2-year-old who has been missing for three days. Police have charged Sharena Nancy with her abduction, but where Nalani is remains unclear. @WPXIMelanie and I will have team coverage NEXT on #WPXI at 5

That poor sweetheart. May she rest in peace.

I just want to smash something right now. It angers me that we have such vile, evil, disgusting varmints in human form living on the same planet as us, and poor darlings like Nalani pay the price for their sick and disgusting behaviors.

So many obscenities I can't type here or I'd be banned, that I want to post right now towards those responsible.

My condolences to her loved ones, especially her mother and grandmother. Heartbreaking loss for them.

TY STG,
I was able to head out to my local Sheetz in the North Hills, and they suggested two pastries wrapped up individually, but couldn’t explain the grasp she had in the pic.

I think she may have her cellphone in her palm with her fingers wrapped around the thin end. And using her thumb and forefinger to hold the object she’s buying.

And yes, I realize I’m obsessing over a silly detail. It keeps my mind off of the senseless death of a 2 year old. When I got the Amber Alert Saturday I assumed it was a custody situation. When it began storming on Sunday I wanted to go search, but didn’t hear of any being organized.

It’s sickening and sad.

I'm not saying that Nalani was sold but I thought this article was interesting as it addresses the demand for US kids in Canada and Western Europe.
This article is about legal adoptions of US infants not illegal selling, but interesting nonetheless.

https://psmag.com/news/outgoing-adoption-americas-unseen-export-children-black-84084
"When it comes to the adoption of black infants, the European market is all demand and America all supply. Social acceptance of single parenthood, the accessibility of contraception, and the legalization of abortion have drastically reduced the number of children available for adoption domestically in much of Western Europe, and U.S. agencies have emerged to meet the demand."

Wow!

Where's the freaking car seat? I'm so angry!
Myself as well.

I didn't buy that the father sold the little girl story from the start.

However, I am not yet letting him off the hook for the time being. He lied about a couple of things, too.

Gotchya, understand and TY for clarifying. I only asked as for COD and may be I missed something in all the activity this afternoon.
I’ve thought the same and you’re right, here it doesn't really matter I guess as the facts will be known by ME tomorrow. I hate typing ME.
Yes, I agree, she does look older than 22 in any pic IMO too.
I’m going to head to the site tomorrow and lay flowers and a teddy bear on behalf of us all. I just want to hug her Grandma so tight (she seems to have been the family “spokesperson” and I just can’t imagine).

Bless you, that is so sweet! It's hard to explain but I miss a little girl I've never met. These kind of cases are so painful.

Makes me think she was sadly deceased before the car ride and Dad might be more involved than we think...?
I am wondering this myself. Time will tell. It will come out of the wash eventually.

My take. Nalani was already deceased before Nancy "took" her...as in something happened somewhere else, by the father. They then concocted this story, she took off to drop off the kid, he called 911, yadda yadda...although why she didn't think she would get caught and also why she agreed to be the fall guy...may be misguided loyalty to this man...MOO!!!
This may explain why no car seat has been found. There wasn’t a need for one

I’m doing the same and saying the same to myself. Then re-questioning why I wasn’t out there in those storms. Reality is though, even if us locals had, there is nothing we could have done, except to find her sooner. As heartbreaking as that is too.

So do not feel you’re obsessing over something silly, by any means. I’m stuck on the same object in her hand. Same here regarding searches then the two honestly didn’t make much sense to me as it turns out, was right in re: sun and mon. Miles away with no relation to any stories or cell pings.
I was determined today though, ordering flyers and was going to dumpster dive because I was just SO sure she would be in one and alive, then the outcome. I am seriously going to go to where others locally have started to put items as a memorial. If you’d like to meet, private message me and you don’t have to be alone.
People call these “cases”, and while I have mostly been lurking way back to Caylee when I lived in FL, everyone is so real here, with real feelings about real people. I get it, and so does everyone here.
I’ve taken many breaks (especially after Shanann), because I feel like every single time, same out come. But I’ll never give up.
Seriously, PM me of you’d like. I’ll be going sometime between 10am - 230 pm local time.

If that's the case why didn't she throw him under the bus at the first opportunity she could? "He killed her, I just dumped the body."
I'm wondering if she thought that the friend called 911 out of decency. As I said before, the friend is key to a lot of answers in this case.

I'm thinking she might have been deceased or close to it and she might have thought she was doing the father a favor by disposing of Nalani, but that damn friend got in the way of getting away with it. I am wondering if that is why she said the father sold the baby, to try to misdirect LE and absolve herself of any guilt in this situation.

I didn't see it already, so here's a 'timeline':
Father stated his daughter was abducted and called 911 at around 5PM - Bryant and Clay Drive in Penn Hills.
Vehicle was seen in the area of Monroeville at around 5:15PM - approximately 12 min drive from original location.
Suspected abductor (Nancy) on camera at a Sheetz, 4701 Willam Penn Hwy at 5:30PM - approximately 17 minute drive from Monroeville.
Pine Ridge Park where Nilani was found is a 47 minute drive from the Sheetz.
Suspected abductor (Nancy) spotted by PD at approximately 7:30PM on Rodi back in Penn Hills - approximately 43 min drive from the park.

If you follow the 'chain' on google maps, aside from the dip into Monroeville, it's a pretty straight shot to the park and back. Someone could easily make the drive with stops in the time frame listed.

Is the area where she was found a park where you can take kids to play?

I don’t think so...thinking it’s more like a state park in the woods.
