omg... terrible terrible writing here. AI at its worst. And from a non-
English country I presume.

I surmise the DA was speaking and what we read here is a transcript thereof.

The link I provided earlier includes a long detailed description of events from District Attorney Tim Barker. Please read it if you're interested in truth.

The actor did NOT open fire on Officers from a cornfield. Facts matter.

"The door was opened and upon immediately opening the door the actor repeatedly fired at the officers with multiple rounds from an AR-15 style rifle with a suppressor immediately striking Detective Baker, striking Detective Sgt. Becker, striking at Detective Emenheiser who he and the other Northern York County Regional Detective who were there closest to the house as they tried to go back for cover position. He repeatedly fired upon them. All four detectives went down."
@statt#1 ... I am having some trouble finding the specific post of Tim Barker...
Can you just repost the first bits to be able to track better. thanks

... I'm good.... found the specific post..........

I have family and friends who are quite familiar with this area, one having a relative living on Haar road. I also will say, the wrongly accused, who showed up on the internet as being the actor in this case, is friends with many friends of mine. That part of this case is evidence of our need to disseminate truth, and not simply regurgitate the things we see posted on the web. Spring Grove is a small town, located between York, PA, and Hanover, PA. It is quite rural. The township FB page provides a good bit of info. on this case.

The post by Tim Barker does raise questions...

The first underlined part must mean they spoke with the ex-girlfriend and the ex-girlfrliend's MoTHER. (Not the mother of the actor)
The second underline indicates the truck burning was a whole month before. Was this ever reported? It seems (from some article posted here) that they had evidence to know this shooter had done the burning--but WHEN??

then officers went back to the residence and spoke with both the ex-girlfriend of the actor and the mother of the actor. And the ex-girlfriend of the actor had advised that on 8/20 of 2025 an unknown person set her pick up truck on fire while it sat in her driveway. She advised that at the time she suspected that it was her ex-boyfriend who was the culprit but she wasn't sure so she requested that the matter not be investigated further.

I have spent significant time in Eastern PA.... so "feel" the pains too. But certainly not like you do.

This case in York County is triggering so many thoughts of what happened in 2006..just about one hour from there.....when the little Amish school girls were murdered. I just had to drive down from Central NH to pay my respects to that community...

I am feeling that same feeling here....and how you have clearly expressed. Everyone in your area there will have a connection in the case. Spring Grove will be forever have to carry this sadness.

Yes, the post you referenced is a transcript of his contribution to the press conference.

I wondered about that, too. Based on the PCA, here’s the timeline wrt the truck burning:

8/20/25
Person unknown set fire to XGF’s pick up truck as it sat in the driveway. She suspects her ex but does not make report until 9/11/25.

Sometime after 8/20/25
XGF and her mother set up trail camera because of 8/20/25 incident.

9/11/25
NYCRPD Daily Activity Log shows suspicious activity at Haar Rd. PCA states that Officer Patrick Gartrell responded to the Haar Rd residence and took report of the 8/20/25 incident. At that time, XGF told the officer that she suspected her ex, but she wasn’t sure it was him and did not provide his name. She asked that the incident not be investigated.

9/13/25
Fire Investigator Sgt. Potteiger of NYCRPD responded to the Haar Rd residence and determined that the fire was deliberately set.

IMO, it might be the case that XGF and her mother were not on the same page about involving LE in the truck and any other stalking activity the ex might have been engaging in. Most likely, XGF’s mother really pushed the issue, and XGF was hoping it would all just go away.

ETA: See post #37 for a link to the article that contains the PCA.

ETA #2: It’s not clear from the PCA or the activity log exactly which Haar Rd resident calls the NYCRPD. I suspect it is XGF’s mother in both the case of the 9/11/25 suspicious activity call (and XGF reluctantly shares information about the truck burning incident) as well as the stalking call of last Tuesday night. We also don’t know anything about what suspicious activity might have been occurring to prompt the 9/11/25 call. The PCA does not address that.

ETA 3: I just listened to the press conference again, and it is, in fact, the XGF’s mother who made the call last Tuesday night.

This is horrific.
Was the gf Mexican? Why the (deleted) post about the Mexican embassy monitoring the situation? Was that just an attempt to politicize a tragic situation?
We unfortunately see that a lot now, with any tragic event.

I don't think she is. My best guess is that there were some known Mexican nationals or expats who live or work in the area, and let authorities know this.

I do not think any persons of Mexican descent were involved. I have not found a source to explain the motive of the message from the Mexican consulate. Discussion around here revolves around it being a simple public service announcement to those who reside in the area. There's a rather large food industry in our area, Hanover Brands, Utz, Snyders, Plainville Farms, Knouse Foods, etc. etc.
