What in the world is happening in Philadelphia?!

A record 510 murders so far this year. Already a higher number than New York City, and NY has five times the population.

When I saw those statistics earlier, I could hardly believe it... but...
State gun laws is a place to start looking...

Sorry to tell you folks, but we have kids shot here everyday. I'd put them all up here if I could link.

Love my @borndem, but they're dirty guns. If they change anything with the gun laws it'll just be the criminals with the guns.

Yep. 14 years old. Sad.

Was there any affiliation amongst the victim and his murderers?

The victim must have been terrified. It makes my heart hurt for him.

Samir was a freshman at Edison. He was waiting on a bus on Wyoming Avenue when he was murdered.

Samir's mother says in the interview/video she is suing Rite Aid. There is some discrepancy weather Samir was in the store or tried to get into the store. Rite Aid put out a statement that it is not true, and they have video to prove it.

Samir has five siblings. They must be shattered.

Obviously this child was targeted. Even if he got on the bus they'd have shot him. If he got in the store they'd have shot him.

14 years old! Whole life ahead of him. God Bless him. RIP Samir.

521 as of today.

No worries says DA Larry Krasner who is blaming media coverage of these murders. Tourists should not be alarmed. Why? Wait for it......violent crime without guns is down. Ummmm so ya can't get caught in the crossfire?
