Maybe if all states would put the DP in place for any murder of a child these low life creeps will stop killing children. There is NO excuse at all for it. If you hurt, molest, or murder a child it should be a fast pass to the front of the line for the DP. I am sick of reading about children being murdered! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

This is so sad. :( I have an 8yr old daughter and I don't let her out of my sight. I sometimes feel I'm being too paranoid, but then I hear stuff like this or the ice cream man story above and i realize I'm not being too paranoid.

When I hear the ice cream man bell ring I go the other way. I tell my DD let's go to Friendly's or Rita's Ice.

I am so sick of this! That we have to be so paranoid! :furious:

I have an 8 year old son. Two weeks ago he was playing basketball in our yard (I was watching him out the kitchen window- ya, it's come down to the fact that we have to watch our kids in their own yards  ) I saw him wave at someone so I went outside to see who it was. Some guy had pulled over at the end of our driveway on a very busy street, rolled down the window, and said "Nice shot!" to my son. When I walked outside the car sped off. My husband thinks I am paranoid but I called the police and made a report.

I'm so angry that we have to be this way. And us WSers have also got to watch out for all the other kiddos out there who maybe don't have paranoid parents.

Was the 2 weeks ago incident reported to police?

Where her parents aware of that? Seems more then one neighbor was. Is this something that could have been prevented ? Did people suspect he would attack this little girl?

But other residents said they also weren't surprised it happened at this apartment building. A woman who identified herself only as "Karen" can see the apartment building from her back yard. She said the police are their frequently. Last summer, she said it seemed like there was a domestic violence or some other incident there at least once a week.

I can guarantee you that everyone in the neighborhood shares those exact feelings about this complex. I mentioned earlier that it has had a negative connection for the 25+ years I've lived in the area.

imho We really have to go back to vigalante justice. I know - horrible idea, but how are we going to get these animals to stop. Just shoot them in the head! I've said it before, when grandad was in the navy and anyone found someone messing with a kid, that "person" was never heard from again. I bet there are a lot of bones out there in the sugar cane fields. Children were safer back then 40's/50's.

Now it's a free for all war on our babies.

I agree with you. I lived near Line Lex and often went to Franconia, Harleysville so drove right through there. There are some questionable "areas" all around there really. Three of my nephews went to LC and one has since graduated with degree in Criminal Justice and I just talked to him. He says certain sections there were well known drug spots and this is one of them.

What disturbs me as well as it sounds like there were problems in the past specific to this case. I am guessing they will book the suspect in Norristown but I can't find any online resources but am still checking.

We can't keep losing children like this.

A lot of med to lower rent apartment complexes are like this. You know when I first left home years ago and I was working part time, going to college part time, the only place I could afford was to live in a cheap rowdy complex. I remember standing outside talking with my cousin one evening and an entire drawer full of silverware came flying out of the second story apartment window, because the lady upstairs was fighting with her boyfriend. That was on a good night.

It's sad many single parents or families are forced to raise kids in areas where there is nothing but predators looking to rob or kill you. All of these kind of places have a ton of shenanigans and criminal activity.
Many seniors as well have to live in lower income apartment housing if they're not fortunate enough to have family to take them in or lucky enough to get into good senior housing.

Channel 3 reporting DA on site meeting with investigators, confirming suspect did live in same complex and saying suspect's name will be released in pc and will be charged with kidnapping and murder. (don't think video is up yet as it was a live report)

How many more of our children are going to be killed before
the Gov. finally does something.

It seems very strange to be sitting at work, but watching video of a place, where, if they zoomed out just right, I could see my house.

Glad to hear they're releasing the name. I'm also relieved that they are 100% certain this is the guy and he will be in jail soon enough.

I heard no name provided and DA said prior criminal history would not suggest such a crime (my paraphrase)

Are we allowed to mention the name?
