GUILTY PA - Skyler Kauffman, 9, Souderton, 9 May 2011

An Amber Alert has been issued for 9-year-old Skylar Kauffman, who was last seen playing on a playground at 2nd and Chestnut Streets in Souderton, Montgomery County.

Skylar is a white female, approximately 4'6" tall and 70 pounds.

This article says that Skylar was last seen on the playground at 5:30 PM AND that she has been missing since 7:00 PM. Not sure which is correct.

Souderton is approximately 35 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

Montco girl feared kidnapped from parking lot

An Amber Alert has been issued throughout the region for Skylar Kauffman, a 9-year-old girl who disappeared Monday from Souderton Borough in Montgomery County.

Officials said the girl was last seen playing in the parking lot of an apartment complex about 5:30 p.m. on 2nd Street near Chestnut

Souderton Police are searching for Skylar Kauffman, a white female, 9 years old, 4'6" tall, medium build, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, wearing a yellow "Justin Bieber" t-shirt and black yoga pants. She was last seen playing in a parking lot of an apartment building at 2nd and Chestnut Streets in Souderton Borough at 5:30 pm on May 9th, 2011.

The child was wearing a yellow "Justin Bieber" shirt and black yoga pants.

Police say the alert for Skylar Kauffman was cancelled a short time ago, but there has been no update on why the alert was cancelled.

North Penn Reporter is the local paper for Souderton. Area is well covered by Philadelphia media outlets.

I wasn't paying close attention, but earlier news reports had LE and Fire Personnel searching at a cemetery but I didn't catch the name of it. AA was running but stopped about an hour or so ago..

Nothing on KYW and I am shocked. There is an 18 yr old missing from Burlington County NJ and they are reporting her at the top of the hour, but not a word in the hourly headlines on Skylar. :banghead:

The only Hillside Cemetery I know is in Abington-Glenside area, about 15 or so miles away (I am guessing)
