Precious time?? Intruders had up to TWO HOURS with JBR in the basement.
Yes, and IN those TWO hours...John or Patsy could have gotten up to check on JB and found her NOT in her bed. So, what do you think they would have done, then? Crawled back into bed and went to sleep? Not hardly, they would have looked for her...EVERYWHERE...yes, including the basement...where she would have been with the intruder(s)...sitting there with them eating pineapple. That would have looked just a "little" suspicious, don't you think? So...YES..they wasted precious time. That time could have been better spent with her in the car...AWAY from her home and family, not in the basement of her house. Who kidnaps a child, and takes them to ANOTHER room in their OWN HOME anyway? That makes absolutely no sense at all.
In one of your posts, you stated that you believed that they took her there to "figure out what to do with her". Why not take her to the getaway car and do that? HUH? Kidnappers do not take a child to ANOTHER room in the house, to figure out what to do with them. "Gee...I just kidnapped this child..and I have absolutely no idea what to do next, maybe I should have planned this out just a little bit better. Until I figure out what to do, I will take her from her bedroom and take her to the basement..and grab this bowl of pineapple in the fridge and feed it to her. I wouldn't want her to be hungry now...while I figured out what to do with her".
