I also feel sorry for the little girls, not all of whom will grow up to be beauty queens. With parents that make them feel like the beauty they were born with just isn't good enough, I can't imagine how many of them feel as they get older that they haven't lived up to their mothers' expectations.

Yes it is. I had read in several places that PR had blue contacts made for JBR. These weren't prescription; they were just to change her eyes to blue. They are actually quite common. But of course, no one else probably puts them on a child. There are many photos where her eyes are blue, and it was the blue lenses, the bleached hair and the over-the-top that made some of PR's friends refer to it as the "Mega-JonBenet Thing". They were planning to stage a kind of "intervention" with PR just before JBR died.

If you should happen on any of these sources for dyed hair or colored contacts, or things of that sort, would you list them? TY

I'd say she is a natural level 7 dark blonde with her hair chemically lightened to a level 9 light blonde.

Would someone be correct in referring to her as a natural blonde?

I'll try. I've read hundreds and hundreds of pages on this case over the past 2 years; I always remember what I read but don't always remember where.

Many of her pageant photos show her with blue eyes; the autopsy report lists her eyes as green.

Holdon,
There was a documentary, not too long ago...about child beauty pageants. The mothers went to all sorts of extremes for their child to win...contact lenses, spray tans, and fake teeth (to replace the ones that had been taken by the tooth fairy)...not to mention the tons and tons of makeup..and the big, ole, poofy hairdos. Patsy was no different...she was a stage mom...who would have done anything for her child to win. Oh yeah, one of the little girls was dancing with some sort of feather boa type thing, and rubbing it in and out between her legs....very seductive for a 5 year old, don't cha think? And her mom was right there at her side, fussing at her...telling her that she wasn't "doing it right". They prided themselves in the fact that the little girl stayed up until about 5 AM..practicing her "routine"...and had to be at the pageant at 8 am. I am telling you...its a "sickness" with some of these women who live vicariously through their daughters. They need HELP!!

Indeed, and with Patsy, she had some pretty good BPD traits going, and her over-the-top behavior was a symptom of that,IMO.The other mothers noticed it,and it can be pretty typical for someone who has it to be appear that way.Nothing is too great ...the sky's the limit for these ppl.
Most ppl may not know that extravagant dress is a symptom of BPD for some ppl who have it;since Patsy was living *through JB,I think that's where that came from..she transferred it onto her.And there was sexual transference to her as well,IMO.

Holdon:

What is your opinion of the FBI?? Do you hold them in any esteem? Do you believe they are more sophisticated than any local LE?

There is probably no better in the world at what they do. As far as the R case, maybe they gave the case a pass, and in doing so maybe the killer is safer. I do believe that if the case were ever solved, it would have to be by the FBI, and not local LE because the FBI has international ties. I'm sure this was an across-border crime, as the RN both explicitly and implicitly stated. The garrote seems to me to be of foreign design.

If FFDI for kidnap/slave, then its possible JBR was selected primarily because of a combination of her nationality, hair/eye color, upbringing and training. The perp may have become enraged when the conditions he had imagined didn't materialize. Or, simply changed his mind and killed JBR.

uh,oh yeah.he found out she had green eyes instead of blue..and killed her.or,he killed her for no reason.now really......

How was JBR presented to the public in her pageants mostly? Blonde hair and blue eyes?

..does anyone know for *sure if she had contacts? It can be hard to tell from just a pic, since photos can be easily altered, and in fact,a lot of times professional photos are doctored to fit the image the buyer would rather have, instead of the real one.

well,Hold, FBI agent Ron Walker had already declared the RN a fraud before JB was ever found, and said "you're going to be finding her body" ,and "look at the parents".Bingo.
And JR had to have known the FBI was there, yet he continually denies it.

Why do you say 'bingo' as if looking at the parents was proven to be right. You know they weren't even arrested, right?

Does RW make all such statements before any forensics are even done??

IF it was an intruder, then there was a selection process. Victim selection many times has focus on personal traits like hair color, age, sex, etc. so if JBR advertised blonde hair and blue eyes, maybe her would-be captor changed his mind.

yes, blonde hair and blue eyes...and I know where you are going with this. She was not what the kidnappers orginally thought....they saw green eyes and dark roots....so they decided to kill her, right?

No...I, myself..do not know for sure. Its something that I have read, but that could have been made up. One thing that I DO know for sure, is that her hair was lightened.

If "they" had of changed their mind, then WHY would they have risk being caught by the Ramsey's...or risk leaving DNA and Fibers..and being caught later by the police...by killing her? Why not just turn around and walk out the door, if she was not what they wanted? Why would they have risked all of that ...for nothing?? I mean, they didn't just shoot her or something...they cracked her skull, garotted her, wiped her down, changed her underwear, and wrapped her in a blanket. "They" just got lucky that no dna or fibers have been found linking them to the crime. But, they wouldn't have known that at the time.

If FFDI kidnap for slave, then...

...they killed JBR in a way that she couldn't be revived. If revived, she could then describe them, and even identify them if she ever saw them again. That answers your question why not just turn around, and why they garroted AND headbashed. If only garroted, then she could be revived.

...changing her underwear, wrapping in a blanket, etc. means they almost left with her. Either they didn't find out about her green eyes and roots until late, or they were indecisive and stalled, or something else went wrong.

This STILL makes NO sense. Why not just take her out the door, into the awaiting get away car, and kill her some place else? Maybe dump the body?? I reallly don't think that a real kidnapper/killer would have risked leaving fiber evidence or any other evidence behind, just because she had dark roots and green eyes. Sounds like too big of a risk to take ....for nothing. It just doesn't make sense for them to take the time to kill her there...and risk leaving evidence behind, when it would have been so much cleaner, faster and easier, to put her in the getaway car and take her some place BESIDES her OWN HOME. Did they not notice her dark roots and green eyes when they took her from her bed? They were in the basement with her, according to you, for two hours....did it take them THAT long to notice? Were they BLIND? I am still trying to figure out why an intruder would take a kidnapped child to the basement of her OWN HOME, when the front door was so much closer. That, in and of itself...doesn't make sense.
